Will Sprewell return to Knicks?

He's playing great in Minny, it would be a shame to see him leave KG and Cassell. If he were to leave, would the Knick fans still want him back?

I would love to see Spree back. His last season here he really fell off, and everyone thought his career was going downhill. With this season he has had, he has upped his "stock". I would love to see him back in orange and blue, but I doubt it will happen. How many go from a real championship contender, to a mediocre team?

The Knicks fans would definately want him back. He brought heart to the team, like Marbury, and unlike Allan Houston.

Imo the Wolves have 2 years(this year & next) to win a championship with this current core group. After next year, Sprewell, Madsen, Ej will all be Unrestricted Free Agents and Cassell would be 36 a month into the 2005-2006 season(and in his final year of his contract). So I think after next season Minny will look to surround KG with a younger core group.

So I think Spree will use his player option to stay in Minnny for next year, And take a stab at his last legitimate shot to win a championship. He may return when he becomes a unrestricted FA, but how good will he be then, His game has been on a serious decline the last few seasons.

But hopefully Minny gets that chip this season

Since when did Spree make the choice to go to Minnesota? He was traded there as part of the Keith Van Horn deal.

What? He didn't have a choice, players don't decide where they get traded to nor can they stop a trade from happening. Sprewell wanted to retire as a Knick. He was angry when he heard he was traded but in the end It has worked out for the best.

Spree will end his career in Minny.

trading players is down to the GM's and the owners, players aren't told about If they are getting traded until It actually happens. Infact even the other players on the team are normally never told about trade talks. They are there to play the game, nothing else.

He shouldn't have been traded, it was good for Minnesota that's for sure, we were very lucky. Sure your team made the Playoffs but Marbury and a questionable Houston are not enough, he would've made them a very good offensive team. It's a good thing you're getting 'Sheed, he'll help a lot, now all you need is an awesome defensive stopping machine or big man for a center. Brand and K-Mart would be too expensive to get unless you were to trade yet again, this team seems to be doing too much of that.

Didn't he say he wanted to be with them? Also if they got a decent center, their own big three, Marbury, 'Sheed and say if they were able to net themselves Kobe or McGrady would provide some serious offensive threat.

The chances of getting Kobe/McGrady are incredibly small. Both of them stated the teams they would like to play for, and I don't the Knicks were big favorites for them.

Spree won't end up in NYC with Dolan there. NO WAY. I still think Spree has alot in him, his game has decreased but hes 33 goin on 34. His talent is still all there hes just lost a step or two, but hes always been a streaky shooter. Knick fans would love Spree back! He did everything for that org, but they don't deserve him.. Im glad he ended up in minny where he can have a shot at winning a ring.. hes droppin 20 ppg these playoffs and making a huge contribution for the wolves title contention n everyone thought he was washed up n over with.. alot of it had 2 do with Van Gundy, who he played his best days with. Chaney ran most the offence through Houston when he arrived n Spree became the 2nd option. Now hes a 2nd/3rd option and his numbers have improved, especially in the playoffs. I still dont believe how spree ended up there? fair nuff dolan didn't like him, but for KVH?? it doesnt add up. Well he certainly won't be goin back.. and maybe.. just maybe.. he can finish his controversial career with some jewellry.. do ur thang sprewell!
