Well, we all know how your predictions go. So I, for one, really like your prediction! ;)
I know you are just joking and have large amounts of respect for my hoop knowledge........ curious how many more games YOU think we will win this season?

I honestly can't venture a guess. This team is so mercurial, I can see us getting bounced in the first or making it to the WCF (assuming Curry is out). It just depends on which team shows up.
So, with that said, if I had to make a guess I'll say 6 more wins if Curry plays the 2nd round...7+ if he doesn't.

I say we get nine if we face gsw And curry is still out.
I say six if curry is back.

If we face the spurs i also say nine.

Here is to looking a LITTLE too far ahead im thinking.
Lets get the first four!

I actually think the Spurs will beat the Warriors in the 1st round. But then I think if that happens that Kawhi comes back for 2nd round against us.

I will go with us winning 6 playoff games this year.

Oh No!?!? Life without mathematics would be impossible.
Tales of my Youth: When I was a Junior in college in 1973, my friend and I attended our probability math class skunked out on Vodka and other party class materials. We should have skipped class when we were at the bar. But...noo............., we attended and it was obvious to all that we had more fun at the local bar then in math class. I know to this day, the entire class were all jealous punk ass students cause they couldn't do it.

Who would we play Sly? Winner of the Dubs/Spurs? Ya, I say 1 game.

POR was 2-1 against GSW in the regular season. The last two times we played, we beat them by 8 at full strength and by 17 without Curry. I think we could take more than one game against them in a series. They were a MUCH better team last year, and we were hobbled in the playoffs, missing both Ed and Nurk (for all but half of one game and were up by 20 in the first half of that game). We are a completely different team defensively this year.

We were 1-2 vs. SAS this year, bur would have HCA against them in the second round and SAS was a HORRIBLE road team (14-27, the worst road record of any playoff team in either conference). With HCA, I'd actually give us a better than 50/50 chance of taking the series from them. In order for them to beat us in 5 games, they'd need to win 2 of 3 in Portland.

Hold the fuck on, so you are saying us missing players effected/affected us in a bad way? But what about the Clipper series?

What does that have to do with 2018??? That Clippers team doesn't exit and the one that does exist didn't make the playoffs.

Injuries are part of the game. Last year, we entered the playoffs banged up. This year, it's GSW's turn. Everybody has to play with the guys who lace up the shoes. There are no do overs and no waiting for someone to get healthy. It's not like GSW spotted us a 15 point lead in every game last year because we had to start Meyers Leonard and Noah Vonleh at center against them.

You mentioned that we were not at full strength and that was bad for us is all. I was just stating that the same thing happened to the Clippers team is all.

And stop acting like we are the only team that has ever benefited from opponents' injuries (or have not been victimized by them ourselves).

The Clippers had HCA last year against UTA in the first round last year and lost (again), when Blake got injured (again).

Exactly, the Jazz won BECAUSE Griffin got hurt. Thats what I’m saying.

No, it's not the same. I'm not claiming we only lost to the Warriors last year because we were injured. I'm not even claiming we would beat them in a series this year (we'll discuss that, when, and if, it becomes a possibility), I'm saying we are in a better position to take more than 1 game from them in a series this year (if we actually end up playing them in the second round).

What happened two years ago against the Clippers is 100% irrelevant to how many games we would win in a series against GSW this year.

And you would have to find a post from me that ever said we are the only team to do anything. Thats not how I think. I don’t have that WE vs US mentality like a bunch on here.

And so then what about this year? If Spurs go in the first round, is it because of no Kawhi? They havent had him all year though.

How about Phili? Without Embiid do they lose and thats why? Even though they have played well without him?

Or.... do we only beat NO because Demarcus is out, even though they played Much better since his injury?

It isnt black and white, and just because a star player goes down doesn't mean that is the main, or only reason why the other team wins, IF they win. The game is still a team sport.

You don't know that. There is no way to prove, or disprove your hypothesis. UTA stole Game 1 in LA with Blake playing almost 43 minutes and scoring 26 points. There is no way to prove they wound't have also stole the series from the Clippers even if Griffin had remained healthy. It's not like the Clippers were unstoppable with Blake and complete crap without him.

You keep bringing up a series from two years ago that has absolutely nothing to do with what may, or may not, happen this year. I have to ask why? What's the relevance?

BNM

I'm going out on a limb. I'll say the Blazers win the first series so they get 4 wins there and push the second series against the Warriors to 7 games but lose on the road. Now if they happen to end up playing the Spurs then they will win that series in 7 games. Then they will lose in 6 games in the WCF's.
So depending who they end up playing they will win between 7 and 10 more games.
Yes this is a very positive....could be called homerish prediction. I just like it that way.

Exactly. The shit that gets turned around here is fantastic

To be technically correct, by predicting the Blazers would win six more games, you also predicted they would lose between 4 and 7 more games. So, saying you predicted 6 more losses is within your window, and is therefore, not entirely inaccurate.
