Kirk is a winner. You guys are going to love him.

He can also run the fast break. Not that the Blazers do it that much, but that certainly couldn't hurt.

I am absolutely praying this happens. People here have no idea how much better we will be on defense. Our toughness will also be a lot better as well.

AND he can run a fast break

I'd be fairly happy with him as our PG upgrade. Sessions and Conley are the sexier picks, but if Hinrich is available for the least, take him. I'd still want a new backup PF banger, I'd be a bit disappointed if our only move this summer was for Hinrich. Another SF would be nice, if Outlaw goes and Webster doesn't fully heal we'd only have Batum at SF.

Hinrich was born 1/2/81, that'd make him 29 in the middle of next season. He's the vet you guys seem to want and he's still got some gas in the tank.

Last season was the first he wasn't a starter, and maybe he'd have started if he didn't hurt his thumb.

I put this in another thread, but I've read on another board that the Lakers are trading for Hinrich. Just sayin...

I've read things on boards, but I haven't read other Hinrich rumors than Portland on media sites.

from another board...

i have an inside source and it was , Adam Morrison (EXP CONTRACT), Sasha, and the Pick for Kirk Hinrich

I don't see any rumors on the Sun Times, Tribune, or Daily Herald sites, nor on RealGM or Yahoo! Sports.

I went over to a Bulls fan board, and several bemoaned the potential loss of defense.

As for what they expect coming back several thought:

Blake, Travis & our #24 (now #22)

others wanted Pryzbilla and the pick.

others said unless they get Rudy, they wouldn't be happy.

Just to let the Blazer fans know.

It is funny to see the gap between what the Blazer fans think and the Bulls fans think about what kind of trade seems right to them.

Clearly there is a large gap in perception.

Blazers fanatics may be a bit hopeful/optimistic/unreasonable, but the bulls fans are not taking into consideration that they need to cut salary.

They don't need to cut that much, maybe $3M would get them the room to re-sign Gordon and pick up a couple of minimum wage type players.

You know what would be hilarious? If the trade up to #22 was all we did!

So much anticipation back at the trade deadline, and we trade for Michael Ruffin...and we've been waiting for this offseason for over a year, and KP trades up 2 spots to #22. :biglaugh:

The Blazers did go on a massive win streak once we got the stud-Ruffin, to be honest...

I'm for any trade that gets us a PG that can feed the ball to the post. No more Blake missing Oden with good position early in the shot clock.

Less playing time for Blake is a good thing in my book.
