If I were attending the game, I wouldn't. IMO, none of that recent jazz had anything to do with him...personally.

Despite the contract ramifications, I still wish the guy well......knucklehead, or not. (although, I still have reservations regarding that cussing-out-Cheeks incident.)

I wouldnt boo him either. He wants to play ball. Cant fault him for that.

I would boo. But more for the Mo Cheeks incident than the salary cap stuff. I'd boo him like I'd boo Bonzi, DA or Sheed.

Wow. I hope people show more class than that at the game. I know he did some stuff a long time ago, but now he is just trying to play ball. None of the cap stuff is his fault.

Come on Portland, show some class when he comes out.

I can't help it- I can't stand Miles and I'm honest enough to say that it's the cap hit that does it for me. All because the bozo wants to play with knees that are bone on bone to the tune of 11 minutes/game for a team that wants to hurt our salary cap room.

If I were at the game, I would boo until I had no voice left! (and I liked Miles when he was a Blazer- my loyalty is with the team, not the player)

Miles didn't do anything to us. Why would I boo him?

Yeah lets give Memphis an even bigger reason to rally around their teammate. Embarrassing.

When he was a Blazer and doing all the crap he did, I remember the RG booing him. Now? Too much time has passed. And the outside perception would look even worse about our fans. If Chris Wallace showed up, I'd boo him though.

plus we get to demonstrate to the current Blazers how the fanbase will turn on them if they suffer terrible injuries... embarrassing is right.

Yes. I would boo miles. He was a lazy, unmotivated piece of crap who I was actually a real fan of until I saw his effort after he signed his deal.

I will cheer for him. Coming back to play ball cause he loves the game, even though the docs say it's not a good idea. I hope he plays well.

The only ex-Blazer I have ever booed was Walton.

On the other hand, if Miles was on fire - I wouldn't piss on him to put it out!

Miles could have taken shots at Ptd during the emailgate, instead he remained nuetral if not understanding of Ptd's position on this topic.

Miles didn't start all this, he is handling himself with class . . . I won't be booing.

But you wouldn't boo him based on his past crappy, lazy play? It wasn't even the injury, he would walk the offense. I've never been so offended as a fan by on-court shenanigans.

Looking back on his career, I wonder how much of his "laziness" was just a guy trying to live with knees that were slowly blowing out.

He had one really good year of basketball that netted him millions, and then his knees got so bad he had to have microfracture surgery and then an independent NBA doctor declared he'd never play again.

He had a rep as a pothead, and kind of a half-assed personality. So when his body gave out on him it was easy to ascribe his play to moral failings. Didn't help that he never had any kind of a jumpshot to fall back on.

But you could be a cross between Ghandi and Tim Duncan. Without knees it's tough to hack the NBA.

Maybe I'm just too forgiving, though. In the past 10 years, there are only three guys I'd actuall boo:
1. Damon Stoudamire
2. Theo Ratliff (basically quit on the team after getting his money)
3. John Nash

Of those three, Nash is the one I curse the most. Every time I see anything related to Chris Paul.

No. It wasn't his knees at all. It was painfully obvious to those that watched him he simply didn't want to even play in the game. When you're on offense just chucking up shots and walking the offense, not even looking like you're trying to play, i find that disgusting. That and him reeking of booze every practice...i guess its him just metabolizing. Look, I liked Miles. I thought it was critical that we resigned him for the future....and he thanked all of the blazers faith in him by throwing a hissy fit and playing like a stoner.

I see booing a player when it is obvious they are not trying. We pay money to see their best possible effort. But once they are gone....I would prefer that we simply not acknowledge them at all. Like they never existed. Don't give them any motivation to play harder.
