They need to find someone who can actually chip in 10g next year, as well as providing some muscle if needed. There's no strictly goons on teams anymore Struds. Wilson can actually play which adds alot of value for the Caps on top of his physicality(and stupidity at times).

There’s 2 options for the Rangers honestly. First one is you go head hunting on OV and their star players and say fuck you NHL and try to maim and injure any and all of their players and force the NHL to do something. And I mean, you really go out there with the only intent being to injure. Fuck scoring, fuck playing, fuck it all. You’re only intention, regardless of who you are is to cause injury to any and all Caps players. Shoot the puck into their bench even. Fuck them. Second is you don’t dress and refuse to take the ice and give the ULTIMATE fuck you to the NHL and make the entire league look like a joke that a marquee franchise refuses to take the ice. Either option is ok with me. Anything less than that and I’ll be disappointed.

While your two options are pretty drastic, 94 I am of the mind that option 1 is the better option. Certainly not to the extent that you are stating because let's be honest, these players are not interested in injuring another player who had nothing to do with the incident from last night. And they also know that those players aren't just going to sit back and take it. You don't want them risking further injuries to the Rangers.
By not taking the ice you punish the fans who paid money to see them play.
The right response is to do everything you can to punish them physically when you have the opportunity. Take cheap shots and penalties, cross check guys with intent and take penalties, run their goalie and take penalties. aim high on your shots from the point, face wash the shit out of any player near the crease after the whistle.

I think there is one option and that's it - dress a goon or two and go after Wilson. Simple as that. I really don't see it any other way. And I would scratch Fox and Lafreniere as well. Sometimes you have to man up, and this is one of those times.

And the Rangers are spot on regarding Parros. He was a thug as a player, so why would anyone think he would care about player safety? He is of course going to be partial to thugs. Without them he would have had no NHL career.

The NHL is a flat out embarrassment and a disgrace. Many have said it today. Yet another example of why the NHL will never be mainstream in the US.
