Hey, I used to like Lucky. I even got interviewed for a Lucky Lager commercial. They used some of my replies in their next commercials. It was brewed in Vancouver, WA.

General Brewing in Vancouver made Lucky and this fine product:

I'm OK knowledgeable! I followed the Blazers first listening to the Shonz and then later Wheels. I loved Snapper. Jerome was my first favorite. I went to Oregonian sportswriting camp in high school and interviewed Terry Porter (he told us how he got that scar) and Petrie. I have a soft spot for Sheed. I lived in an apartment below Joe Kleine in Beaverton one year. I know names like Hap and Ed O. I've survived a couple board migrations (I think I was once 12Jackals after Phil's comments). I almost never post because if I have spare time I'm playing basketball (can't right now because I tore my rotator cuff playing and am rehabbing) or trying to catch a late Blazer game on my computer when everyone here is asleep. But I'm on here a lot, and even though I don't participate, it feels like I've known folks like Sly, Minstrel, HCP, Boob, Brian, MM, CrandC, Stomp, BBert etc forever (yeah, those are my favorites).

I will also beg on my knees, Sly!

If you want to convince SPD, getting down on your knees is a good start.

In my high school crowd, Bohemian was king! (It was bottom of the barrel Blitz Weinhard and cost $.99 a six pack....or 3 quarts for $.99). Our weekend rallying cry was, “Got a buck? Got a Bo!” Nasty shit but it did the trick.....and kept us away from Ole English 800......

(shudder) That shit could give you a headache like someone stabbing you in your left eye.

My friends and I invented a game called "Tap The Regal".
Four guys around a card table, each with a freshly opened bottle of Regal Select.
Player 1 was the Whackee, and player 2 (Whacker), to his immediate right and brandishing a wooden spoon, would attempt to hit the top of the bottle flush and foam out the contents. Player 1 had to keep his hands at his sides until the bottle was struck.
Very exciting stuff, beer coming out noses, etc.
The perfect compliment was a raspy burrito from 7-11.

Our 7/11 go to munchie was those pickled “Polish” sausages that were always conveniently located at the cash register in huge plastic jars. I believe they were an Oberti product. I think we singlehandley kept them in business. I know I sure hurled way too many of them at the end of an evening, accompanied by whatever beer I had consumed........

Never saw Regal Select before and I go way back to the late 60s when I drank my first Old English 500 malt liquor.

I thought our motto was, “To know us is to love Mrs. HCP.”
The truth is the nerdfest dungeons and dragons role players around here all suffer from the same frustration....damn....how the hell did he marry her while I'm stuck in mom's basement with my porn collection

Or here for a certain amount of time regardless of posts. Gotta include the long time lurkers.
I agree with you here on a long time viewing / posting to be able to win something.

Motha fucka I had a reply and when I got off my bus it deleted!

I think I made my account in 2016 but I have 30 some posts. I'm a die hard fan but I don't have a high basketball IQ. So I feel my 2 cents doesn't justify a response to the threads so I don't post a lot.

I was extatic ( sp ) when I got the pk80 college basketball tickets! I had so much fun at those games. I wasn't expecting anything I was just happy to be there at the games.

My best times at the games was the jail blazers area. That was the times I had season tickets. I felt the crowds were in the games. Now, not so much it's not the same atmosphere.

I went to 1 game this season against the 76ers it was fun but just not the same. I totally enjoy listening to Wheels call out the games vs watching the games. He paints the picture for me. ( I did post a few weeks back I am legally blind )

I really don't need free shit to enjoy my time here. I figure people are where they are on here at let them be there in the moment. For me, I really don't have anyone I can watch the games with any more. So I just listen to the game on the radio. I wish radio games were on more than they are.

I do hope that the.new addtions weren't just here for free shit, they just need to prove me wrong.

Olympia was great but so was Blitz. I'lll never forget my tours of their two breweries. The Blitz tour and tap room was the better of the two.

Also loved the great Blitz and Oly commercials.

Seems like most beer, including Budweiser, have gone to crap.

I had English 800. The best substitute for furniture polish!

Of sorry river. Didn’t mean to spotlight ya!

I figured it out. All of these "new" members are actually agents from Russia trying to sow discord on our forum, and disrupt our American ways. Damn them!
