With as much traveling as I do, The HCP is always on his computer or phone for business and pleasure. Officially making the move from my old plug-in travel speaker and want to move to something wireless. Saw these today at the Apple store down here in PHX. They sound great. Wondering if any of you guys use wireless speakers and if you own one of these, or if you recommend something else.

I've been meaning to get those. I'm getting the "big" jambox when I go back to Portland for thanksgiving. Not using them for travelling, just something to put in my living room for bluetooth. I sometimes stream music through my TV via itunes on the apple TV when people are over but sometimes it disconnects.

I was considering getting the Sonos wifi system...but my place is too small to justify.

BTW, they have the regular jambox at costco for $170

BOSE also has a travel bluetooth speaker but I thought it sounded pretty crappy personally.

The big ones sound so much better but if you're travelling light its not really practical for travelling.

Good to know it's at Costco. Did some research after I posted this. Big one sounds amazing I heard, but it's $300 and too big to travel. Small one is $170 like you said and sounds pretty damn good for a traveling speaker. Charge will let you stream for 9 hours. At home I use Apple TV for my music and run it thru my home stereo and we love it, but I just wanted something that sounds good on the road. The speakers on my MacBook Air are no good for movies.

well, costco down here. sometimes different inventory and different product release availability. its in store. Amazon also has it pretty cheap too

if you're a road warrior such as yourself, its pretty essential IMO. the small one that is.

Ya man, I'm watching or listening to stuff non stop! Love the idea of being able to sync this speaker so easily to my gear. Can't wait to get it.

If you're looking for portable speakers, HCP:

But they're only portable if your car has wheels.

"You gotta hear it," says Luke Wood, president of Beats Electronics, as he ramps up the volume on 50 Cent’s "In Da Club" in his hotel room, a trendy spot in downtown Manhattan. Wood blares the bass-heavy song through two speakers: Jawbone’s popular Jambox speaker and Beats’ new competing device, called the Pill. He toggles between the two speakers, and flashes a knowing grin as the Jambox’s sound quality begins to deteriorate while the Pill’s remains crisp and clear. Won’t other hotel guests complain about the noise?

Nice. Thanks for the heads up. I own 2 pairs of Beats..... The Studio over the ear and the Tour ear buds. Have been very impressed with both. I will most likely now buy this "pill" over the Jambox just because of my past experience with there quality products.

Come on Sr. Cerveza......... I need quality audio! Nothing worse then shitty sounding speakers!
