The implication was not that the three hour conversation was the only contact they've had. Dame was explaining that the two of them at one point talked for three straight hours, trying to show just how far their connection goes but not the totality of their relationship.

I get that..
On one hand you have a story claiming she won't take his phone calls, and refers his emails to bert.
On the other hand, a tweet proclaiming her and Dame had a three hour conversation LAST SUMMER....
I have a hard time scoring this in her favor.
I noticed she wasn't at Dame's extension signing, and he hasn't done anything to dispute the NYPost story.
So much for my "rose colored hommerism" eh??

Dame said it yesterday during his press conference, The words came out of his mouth on camera. he has no issues talking with management when he wants to. It wasn't just a tweet.

He didn't just dispute it yesterday, he said the two of them are close and that she's never been anything but accessible to him, he used the three hour conversation as one example of just how accessible she is. His guy Nate Jones said on twitter that the story was laughable because Dame doesn't even have an email that he uses. He texts, calls, DMs but does not email. So there aren't two sides to this story. The New York Post as they often do, made some shit up to spice up what was otherwise a rehash of information that everyone knew. Dame said it was bullshit and that's all there is to it.

Don't get me wrong. I want Jody and the Vulcans gone and a new owner who doesn't give a shit about luxury tax and wants to win in Portland at all costs, realizing that the profits that winning will bring will offset the costs.

That being said, regarding the Post article that there is an entire other thread about. We already knew about the bone smuggling, we already knew about the out of court settlements for sexually harrassing security and then the Post tried to pin the "Toxic Work Environment" on Jody and the Vulcans when they were the ones that labeled the environment at the Blazers offices in the PF as toxic... no one has ever said that Vulcan is a toxic place to work and they didn't site anyone as having said so. So they rehashed the bones and harrassment, they tacked on Olshey's behavior which to my knowledge ownership corrected and didn't instigate and then they flatly made up shit about Dame which seems to be something "journalists" just like to do.

Fine....except Dame isn't nor hasn't been in Curry's class. If we were paying Curry that much after bringing 4 titles, I'd have no issue. But Dame is 22-40 in his Playoff career. So I'm more hesitant about the amount of money and what it does to the franchise. Hopefully, Dame can defy age as his contract gets more expensive. The cap going up will help, but it's a LOT of money to pay a non-wing, almost offense only PG.

Lol dame was the only reason we won playoff games and olsheys roster construction was the reason we lost games.

He's not in currys class but no one is. But he's just below it. He's been the 2nd best PG in the league but people with resentment like expectations will never be happy so there's that lmao.
 
Happy about his extension actually. but don't see anyway we can build a contender around him any time soon. we definitely aren't close at the moment.

That's not Dame's fault. He dragged those teams as far as they got. Further than anybody ever expected them to go. Year after year.

Dame would have titles if he'd had the same supporting cast as Curry.
