Maybe the perfect choice of words because that is sort of the point. The only reason to hijack this current, pertinent movement and insert unrelated causes is to dilute the message. This is a historic and solemn affair that has built itself up from the ground to international recognition. It deserves its time in the spotlight.
Hawley can fuck off. He is trolling. Find me players that support his ideas and you won't find any (other than Kyrie Irving maybe), but if you did they can fuck off too.
@dviss1 was right. People might not liked hearing it, but he was right. All this griping and these queries--"Oh, I'm just asking"--about the fight for EQUALITY. I've said this before too, people are harboring some dark thoughts in here.
Back to Hawley, and your posts, I suppose. What prompted you to take this stance? An intellectual exercise? Ha. And what prompted Hawley to write this letter to Adam Silver, do you figure, if it wasn't to whittle away at the legitimacy of BLM? Or at the very least, make it divisive, by throwing out "opposing statements" and snarky allusions to the NBA's financial ties to China? He's saying we should make BLM into a Kindergarten exercise. "Save the Whales!" "Spay and Neuter your Pets!" "Peace in the Middle East!" It is dumb and it is steeped in racism. And this is my point, this isn't about the troops or China or whatever, it is about BLACK LIVES. Clearly, that is not important to all. And many have made this clear. But if it isn't important to you, then do as Woj suggested, and fuck off.
Edit: The final "you" of my diatribe is meant to be the universal you and not
@handiman specifically.
