How anyone could cheer for that guy after this article is beyond me.

Because he actually was one of the best players we've ever had? Because of the Rockets series? Because he holds the franchise records in a number of categories? Because he did nothing but get better and better through hard work despite being overshadowed by players who ended up not doing much for us?

So he was oversensitive and a little petty. If fans booed him they'd be oversensitive and a LOT petty.

lol. no. He holds grudges on people that are years removed from the team and the league and continues to put his foot in his mouth.

What's the golden rule? "Treat others the way you want to be treated." So, to that, I say he deserves to get booed. He hasn't done anything to not deserve it in the last year. And yes, hows he acted as a person far outweighs petty stats that were garnered through me-first, ISO plays and ill-advised shots to up his stats.

Oh shit, he's Kevin Love.

No individual Spurs board to be found.....

That is priceless, well done.

If anything, all this does is convince the morons who were actually going to cheer for him tonight to boo his ass.

Thanks, Woj.

PS, kiss and make up with KP already, you dick. Can't believe this guy still shits on him.

Because he actually was one of the best players we've ever had? In terms of Regular Season stats, yes he was quite the compiler. A PF finally catching a SG in Rebounding....amazing!

Because of the Rockets series? Great 1st 2 games...has shot a combined <40% for every playoff game since. So 2 good ones and a lot of stinkers.

Because he holds the franchise records in a number of categories? Very Jay Cutler like who is now the franchise record holder for most everything QB Bears....and yet probably isn't Top-5 in terms of actual Greatness.

Because he did nothing but get better and better through hard work despite being overshadowed by players who ended up not doing much for us? He also did a lot of whining and complaining behind closed doors about Brandon Roy, Gred Oden and Damian Lillard and took his ball and went home to ride coat tails of a true Great.

If it's okay to cheer, it's okay to boo.

Of course the real reason LA hated Dame, which Canzano will detail tomorrow, is because Dame once asked the caterers for beef instead of pork in the tacos on the plane.

The Clown will find some reason for it to be Portland's problem, the fault of the Blazer front office and that the Ducks were behind the whole screw up.

Same 'ole.....same 'ole....

"If Damian Lillard is the leader the front office falls over themselves to slavishly proclaim, he would have deferred to LaMarcus's preference. But, as with the Oregon Athletic Department, poor decisions beget piles of lies and back pedaling. Beefgate is real."

I wouldn't boo a guy for leaving. This is America and he's a free individual.

But he was not one of the best Blazers ever. I don't even see why Blazer fans would be upset that he's gone. I think maybe after they get to see him tonight without those rose colored glasses on, they'll wake up to the fact that he's so over-rated.

It's like Portland fans booed Turkaglu, but they should have just been thankful that he didn't sign. He did us a favor, just like LA did.

It's the rare chance to boo the person, and not the player. Actually, we're booing both. lol.

It's an opportunity that doesn't come along unless you're Raymond Felton.

It's moving as fast as it can... at least here in portland, where it matters.
Precisely. I meant circulate here, in pdx before tonight's game. None of the "will the fans boo" topics here or on local radio would have been broached. The answer would be very clear, at least to me. I was slightly divided but no longer am. I'd boo the fuck outta his soft, sensitive pussy.

As a fellow human, I kind of feel his pain from an emotional standpoint... BUT, the way he went about it... I mean, at least have some introspection.

I hope he gets some mental help and can introspect on himself, because he needs it.

Until then, I'm booing him tonight for sure!!

Point Nine must have been hell for him. I wonder if we stopped being a serious contender then.

Sorry if this has come up already, but I got two articles here:

http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nba-b...s-what-they-are-supposed-to-do-164459487.html

I want to encourage everyone to take the articles on the first page with a grain of salt. That's all. While I have no doubt that something wasn't clicking here in Portland, and that overall he probably didn't like this city, I also believe that his main motivation for leaving in FA was his desire to get a championship. And, let's be honest with ourselves: that's probably a few years out for this team right now, even if he had stayed.

So yeah: I think he's a baby. But I don't think the marketing and atmosphere here in Portland was his main reason for leaving.

This is a comment I wrote in one of the articles:

I’ll always be grateful for what he did for our team. But I DON’T like his big "Fuck You, Portland" way that he left in the off-season. That whole letter of his was defensive and short, and sounded almost bitter.

For that, I’m going to boo him. From the comfort of my recliner. Not sure if I’d do it in person.

I want Damien to absolutely crush him in the Points Department tonight, to make a statement like this article said. A few blocks by Meyers wouldn’t hurt either. But asking Meyers to go against LaMarcus is kind of like asking a house cat to go up against a Tiger.

I read stuff like this and think it's going to be interesting to see how long the honeymoon lasts between LA and San Antonio. He sounds like a 10-year-old girl.

... sorry, 10-year-old girls, I didn't mean to offend your maturity level.

I think the best way to get into Felton's head would be to wave some French fries in front of him from the crowd.

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/five-d...courtship-of-lamarcus-aldridge-225556837.html

Telling passages:
The Lakers had been unimpressive, and Aldridge couldn’t see himself fitting into a Big Three with the Rockets. In his mind, the Portland Trail Blazers still lingered. A long day of meetings awaited Aldridge in the morning, beginning with San Antonio Spurs, but he told his associates: Hey, I could still return to Portland. The Blazers are still there for me.

Throughout the final, formal meeting in late June, it became clear that Aldridge hadn’t completely let go of years-old issues with the way he believed ex-Blazers Brandon Roy and Greg Oden had overshadowed him in the early part of his career. This was part of Aldridge’s personality that everyone surrounding him understood – that the teams recruiting him had researched and debated internally on how to navigate in the recruiting process.

Leaving that meeting in Dallas in late June, perhaps little was more telling than the fact Aldridge never raised one particular name: Damian Lillard. Ultimately, this was the enigma of LaMarcus Aldridge. He wanted talent around him, but never too much that it might cast a shadow on his own marquee. Pleasing Aldridge was never easy, and nobody knew that better than the Portland Trail Blazers.

Privately, Aldridge never made much of a secret about his dislike for the lifestyle and climate of Portland and the Pacific Northwest. As an organization, the Blazers could do nothing about it.

Fuck that guy. Portland and the Blazer organization did EVERYTHING for him and his ego and sour grapes bullshit made it all worth nothing. I'm glad he got booed yesterday.
