Maybe Black people voted against "The Toucher" because he thinks the last time America was great was when Blacks were slaves????
On Slavery
At a September rally, Moore invoked slavery when describing what President Trump means when he says, "Make America great again."
Moore was asked by a black man at an Alabama campaign stop what the president means by the phrase,
reports the Los Angeles Times. Moore replied:
"I think it was great at a time when families were united, even though we had slavery, they cared for one another," he said. "People were strong in the families. Our families were strong, our country had a direction, and we corrected many of the problems."
Drive-by shootings and evolution
In a 1997 speech, Moore, then a county circuit judge, tried to associate the teachings of evolution with drive-by shootings.
Video of the speech was posted by CNN reporter Christopher Massie:
"We have kids driving by shooting each other, that they don't even know each other. They're acting like animals because we've taught them they've come from animals," he said. "They're treating their fellow man with prejudice because we've taught them they come from animals, not from God, who despises that sort of thing."
'Reds and yellows'
Moore used two terms commonly used as slurs toward Native Americans and Asians during a September rally,
reports the Washington Post.
While speaking against "racial, political and other divisions," the newspaper said, Moore inserted the two terms.
"Now we have blacks and white fighting, reds and yellows fighting, Democrats and Republicans fighting, men and women fighting," he said. "What's going to unite us? What's going to bring us back together? A president? A Congress? No. It's going to be God."
