SCHIAVONE TAKES OUT VINCI TO WIN BARCELONA LADIES OPEN

Top-seeded Francesca Schiavone needed only about an hour to defeat Roberta Vinci in an all-Italian final Saturday at the $220,000 Barcelona Ladies Open.

Schiavone took the 6-1, 6-1 win to record her third career title and first of the season. The 29-year-old also avenged a loss to Vinci here in last year's semifinals.
