Safina returns to action in Stuttgart; Wozniacki fit to play as well

Ranking points are the last thing Dinara Safina has on her mind when she returns to court this week at the Porsche Grand Prix from back injuries.

"Who cares," the Russian told reporters on Monday. "Health is much more important."

Twelve months ago Safina had just climbed to the world number one ranking a week ahead of Stuttgart.

She had a chance to get that prestigious ranking for the end of the year, but back problems stopped her in her first match at the season-ender. Safina returned this year, only to retire at the Australian Open in late January and not play until this week.
