It's because there's still a thing called the US Constitution. Read it some time. NO!! DON'T!! You may cease to be a lefty.

Also, for the record, I voted 60% righty and 40% lefty in the election. Yes, barfo, there still are a few independent thinks left. I reviewed the issues, reviewed the candidates and voted for the ones I thought would do the best job. It's liberating to be able to actually think during an election and not just check 'lefty' or 'righty'.
