Working Out at the Gym

I know. I hate using my schedule as an excuse, but take this past week for example. Since we got back from SLC last Thursday night, I have been to the gym everyday and hit the stairs for about 30-45 minutes each day (easing my way back into it) Now I just left today and am now down here in Vegas working 15 hour days and won't be home til Sunday night. As soon as I get back into the mode of busting my ass, I have to take some time off. I know some is better then nothing, it just gets frustrating to kill my momentum.

5 days a week is sufficient. Mix it up, too. Stair stepper, rower, elliptical, bike. Keep your body thinking. Watch what you eat, try and cut out the shitty carbs like white breads, or too much pasta stuff like that.

Put together a 3 week period where you just hit it and hit it hard, no excuses during that period you gotta make it to the gym. After that period goes by you'll start feeling results and digging it and want to go to the gym. All it takes is an hour out of the day. You'll become hooked after a certain period. It won't become a chore. Then slowly incorporate weights.

I bet if you really put your mind to it you could lose 50lbs by training camp.

Oh, and have lots of sloppy sex with the old lady.

You work out a lot man?

no. i need to. just lazy i guess. I just do cardio and shoot hoops.

If you're going for a weight, doesn't muscle weigh more than fat? just do shitloads of cardio and eat right? When I got in shape way back, what did it for me was doing interval training. My knees suck too bad to be doing that now though. maybe i'll try it out on a bike...but last time I tried on an eliptical I got a strained achillies.

So to break it down to it's simplest ........ hit the stairs everyday and quit drinking Pepsi and I can't help but lose weight!

interval training. walk...jog...walk...run....walk....run....walk...jog...walk....

Why? Why not just hit the stairs for 30 minutes in a row?

This one makes you work harder. then rest and then harder again. Its pretty effective at getting your heartrate up. I'd come off the treadmill fucking drenched in sweat.

the stairclimber....not so much.

Essentially.

and cut out the cunninglingus. Too many unnecessary cals.

I actually don't eat that bad anymore....... I'm just addicted to soda! I realize how bad it is, but I just can't quit. I rarely drink and don't smoke. If I can kick this habit, I'll be a happy ass gangsta'!

High fructose corn syrup is ruining America.

I have to eat under a thousand calories per day to not gain weight. Today I ate a third cup of quinoa with a ninth quart of oysters (330 calories, 38 grams protein), a cup of green beans (30 calories), a cup of coffee with chocolate powder (10 calories), some zero-calorie soft drink, and for dessert 10 wheat saltine crackers (110 calories). Then I had about 3 jiggers of rum with no-calorie coke (210 calories), but who's counting. Got myself at 160 pounds and holding steady.

(pats self on back, feels pain in shoulder)

How much time and energy did you put into that gibberish?

Oysters are good though. Love them things.

I've started a new program modeled after the golden era of bodybuilding.

Heavy and hard.

I've tried a lot of pre-workout supps and not one has really worked. The one I'm trying now is called EPO Blast: LINK

I don't remember if I posted it in here, but at my heaviest I was 285 pounds.

I'm now at 200 pounds, which with me being 6'2" with a big frame is pretty good. My long break from the forum and the internet in general contributed to that. Mostly just cut back on portions of food and played basketball as much as I could. Feels amazing.

The best mixer to drown out the taste of alcohol is chocolate Muscle Milk or one of its competitors. Every 8 hours all day you should have 2 glasses, each with 3 jiggers of vodka, bourbon, or your choice (rum tastes best). You will exceed the recommended daily allowance of protein, girlfriends, and hair on your chest.

Arnold had a pretty gnarly cycle:

26 weeks: Primobolan Enanthate, Dianabol and Deca (various doses)

The potency of the steroids back then weren't what they are today. Many guys today have that cartoon-ish look from all the synthol they take.

Arnold was notorious for the amount of volume he lifted. He'd lift for 8 hours a day. Guys today don't nearly as much volume and spend all their time eating ridiculous amounts.

Have you tried Driven Sports Craze?

Best Pre-Workout I've ever taken, HANDS DOWN.

Best preworkout I've taken is White Flood. Its the most reasonably priced, too. 100 servings for $40. Can't beat that. Its been my go to for a year.

Synthol looks horrible.

Have you tried any kind of anabolics?

Because Arnold didn't look cartoonish at all

Haha, Arnold never came close to looking like the guys today.

Arnold was all about symmetry. He competed weighing 235lbs on a 6'2" frame. Modest compared to last years Mr. Olympia winner Phil Heath who was 5'9" and weighed 250lbs. Or, Jay Cutler who was 5'9" and had a competition weight 275lbs.

Oldschool bodybuilding looks a lot better.

The HGH build is flat out ugly. You have a keg/gut but at the same time you have defined abs.

Nope. My brother and some friends have though. So I have decent enough knowledge about it. If your looking for a quick fix and don't want to bust your ass at the gym, its not the route. If your going to do it a strict lifestyle is important.

The most extreme I've ever gone is OTC testosterone boosters that you can order at BB.com and such.

White Flood is definitely up there for me. Craze though is amazing and I recommend it if you haven't tried it. An absolutely insane focus/energy/endurance. The first time I took it I lifted for nearly 3 hours and could have kept going...the crazy (no pun intended) thing is is that there is absolutely no crash whatsoever and it actually acts as a a relatively decent appetite suppressant.

For me PWO would definitely go:
1) Craze
2) White Flood
3) MP Assault

Nice choice in preworkouts. But, I gotta ask, whats the point in lifting for 3 hours. Counter productive unless your on steroids.

It's definitely not a common occurrence, but it was a weekend and I literally felt like a machine. At one point I looked up at the clock during my workout and it had already been 2 hours.

Do you guys order most your supplements from BB.com? I've found that they have the best prices, but I've also ordered from Nutraplanet.
