I’ve worked at that golf course a couple times. That entrance is no joke. Busy ass 2 lane country road. It gets so chaotic there during these tournaments. This guy is an ass by the way. Keep him locked up!

Why don't we hear the full story and actual facts. They did take him to jail and he's the number 1 professional golfer in the world. You people never cease to amaze me.

What you guys conveniently disregard. Is Sheffler is one of the most respected and well liked players on tour. No, let's completely forget those facts and let's go with the narrative. You think it's not a valid opinion. Then elaborate why. I'm waiting Kano. I'm speaking of Sheffler's Character. Do you think he really intentionally tried to harm that police officer?
 
Assault in the he second degree. Is defined by intentionally trying to harm another with a weapon. This would assume that Sheffler was using his vehicle as a weapon. With the intent to run over the officer. There's about a 99.9 % chance that's not th case.

I think, in the unlikely even that some of the charges aren't dropped, that the DA would try to convict based upon section (c). "wantonly" is legally the same as recklessly (which is the term used in Oregon's statute). And the dangerous instrument is the car

I never said that he intentionally tried to harm the police officer. I said that your post was asinine. You are entitled to your opinion and I am entitled to mine.
 
I don't really care for Scheffler, but it appears people are wanting to apply their biases to the situation in order to make it far more grandiose than it was. Wouldn't be shocked when the charges are dropped that people double down on said theories.

Hey, if someone wants to be out in heavily manicured nature and hit a few balls while they’re wearing essentially the same clothes that I wear to the office, that’s totally fine. I have nothing against golf as a hobby. I just think it’s hilarious to tout it as a sport compared to football, basketball, baseball, hockey….. or even sports like tennis and volleyball.

I put it on the same level as bowling.
