Yep stayed up and watched the 100's last night and recording all of them. Should be some amazing events.

Anyone besides me watching this event?
I've watched the highlights of the sprints. Would have been nice to go. Watched Hayward get built. Talked design elements with the engineer from Germany in charge of the roof construction. The crew was under some great time issues. Did a spectacular job. Gorgeous facility.

I've driven past it a few times and seen the highlights on line....some really fit people in Eugene for this event...good to see young healthy people walking all around Eugene ...it is track town USA...it's made traffic on Coburg rd to my son's house a bitch though. There's not a parking spot available within a few miles of Autzen Stadium or Alton Baker Park other than a few at the Oakway Mall

It's worth the inconvenience for the economy, and the boost to future tourism to the area though.

And i've read already naysayers saying it hasn't been an infusion to everyone. That's pretty much the case everywhere events like this are hosted. But the long range projections are good for getting a boost out of this going forward.

I agree...it's awesome....I however am basically a person who avoids any and all crowds if given a choice. Eugene is a great little city

Are you an engineer?

Are you an engineer?
Nope. Just a huge architecture fan who happened to uber him to Hayward site from Eugene Airport. Wanted to become an architect but was terrible at math past Algebra. I love watching buildings and sports architecture go up all over the US & abroad on a couple of internet architecture sites. Had the architect for the Broncos and Raiders stadium in my uber as well. Cool Dude.

awesome...I'm a fan too but not well educated about architecture...just appreciate it when it's done well!

Indeed. Hayward was done right. It keeps art in architecture. I hate the generic stuff.

I took the tour last fall. Loved seeing all videos and old photographs.

Very few know exactly how tough this job was. The crazy part was that so much of it ended up for not. Covid changed much of the trajectory and schedule they were trying to meet.
