Worst Dunk Contest Ever.

Without reading the thread, and only responding to the title, I completely agree. This was easily the worst dunk contest I've ever seen. Boring as your mom in bed.

The whole all-star weekend is a joke. It is all so boring.

I was actually pissed at Shannon Brown, because he had this whole huge campaign for him to get in to the contest, then he does basically normal dunks that almost every NBA player could do.

One problem is that you probably run out of (interesting) things to do. The stuff Jordan and Nique did, while exciting then, would elicit yawns today. I think the dunk contest has probably moved past its expiration date. The best chances for awe-inspiring dunks are in game play, where teammates hook up on something special. Something that may not seem impressive on an empty court, but looks spectacular over defense.

I do think the dunk contest is past it's prime.

Checkin' out the Wilkins vs. Jordan dunk contest.....those guys gave it there all and looked like the really wanted to beat each other....it's just not the same. Players just don't compete with the same intensity at ASG.

Hell, I was watching a replay of the 93' All-Star game and there was a 24 second violation in the beginning of the first quarter.

Its because they are "rising stars". they are not prime time.

the dunk contest would be dope as shit if they actually got the best dunkers and best athletes in the league.

Amen....he had more impressive in game dunks....disappointing

The main reason I was watching was to see what he could do since he has the same vertical as Robinson but is 8(?) inches taller. Not to mention his sick in-game dunks. Very big disappointment.

james white was INSANE. between the legs from the free throw line. wtf. guy shoulda learned a second bball skill though, even defense, what a waste.

Very boring dunk contest. G.Wallace shouldnt have even been in it. There are 20+ players who are better/more exciting dunkers than him.

I guess Wallace is nursing a pulled hammy (which he incidentally pulled against the Blazers)

What the dunk contest doesn't have are people dunking over other people, and that's probably how some of these guys got in. Most people aren't going to do a dunk tossed off of the side of the backboard featuring a 360-around-the-back-tomahawk in a real game.

Not the worst. But really, really bad. Why have Nate again for the 4th year in a row? Come on NBA. Get real.

There are SO many other players in the NBA who could have done much better. See our bench.

DC should have been there over Nate. Wallace looked like he didn't even want to be there. That was pathetic. Brown was a joke too. It was almost as if they thought it was fixed so Nate would win and didn't try.

I'm a Kadour Ziani fan myself. Dude is only 5'10" and has a 56" vetical.

I once saw a tv movie with Don Cheedle in it (one of his first) about Earl "The Goat" Manigault. It was a sad story about the guy. He had insane hops. Drugs brought him down.

In the movie they have Wilt Chamberlain jumping up against Manigault, and The Goat winning. Crazy hops.

air up there ripped it in the sprite slam dunk - WTF happened at the allstar weekend? weak as all hell...
