What was worse Julius? The Utah game? That wasn’t our fault.game 1 of the 91 wcf's hurt too.
This loss isn't even the worst loss of the "bubble" season.

I actually felt good after the Boston game. We rallied and made it interesting. This loss with Dame choking up a 5 point lead was much worse to me. Also Boston was trying to win. Clips weren’t.Um, the Boston game? They played like ass for the majority of the game and then had a lot of brain farts at the end of it.

I've followed the team since 1989 and this game was one of the worst losses ever for me. I'd make it Top 10 for sure. The way it happened. Battling for playoffs, playing well, GT and Melo balling, Clips take out all their good players and then we lose on two missed freethrows by our personal savior and then an open three that could've tied it. It's the worst I've felt since Game 3 of 2019 WCF for sure. We may not recover and this is a special opportunity I'd hate for us to miss. You seem to be missing the bigger point. This wasn't the worst loss ever. It's not even the top 20 of worst losses.
Exactly. Well put. This loss feels worse than earlier ones this week, because our playoff hopes have cumulatively increased, with each surprising win over teams above us in the standings.
This morning we had climbed to 1 game behind Memphis, with no margin for error to make the playoffs, only to have a bounty of misfortune throw our newly crystalized hopes into shattered pieces lying at the foot of the Fremont Bridge.
That goaltending call game sucked but losing those two games actually helped us long term cuz we blew up the team and got the pick that got us Lillard. This was a big disappointment to me losing today....losing the game where Kevin Durant got the goal tending call against Aldridge who blocked it clean from Scott Foster that sealed the game was one of my least favorites...that and the game in Philly where Nate got fired....

The thing is... we are still competing for a championship THIS season. Dame said he packed for 3 months. There are experts around the league that say we are a Top 3 team with Nurk/Collins and can beat the Lakers. Who knows who will or won't be healthy next season. You have to take advantage of the here and now.For me: 1-4 were our losses to Detroit in the 90 finals, I thought we were the better team and we should have beat them in all but one of the games. So those were tough. I didn't think we would beat the Bulls so those weren't as hard in 92. I was surprised we won two games to be honest. The game seven loss to the Lakers in 00 was almost as painful as the Detroit losses, it probably would have been more painful because everyone knew that whoever won that game was going to win the finals but the difference was I was a kid in 89 and I was a young adult in 00 so it just didn't hurt or matter as much. The Memorial Day Miracle... I thought we would win that series and I thought if we won that series it was a forgone conclusion that we would win the finals. I still had faith after the game one loss and we had won game two and stolen home court advantage or so I thought and then that shot... it gutted our team and they just didn't show up for the next two games. Those are the worse losses I have experienced as a Blazers fan, losses that cost us championships in my opinion. This mornings loss wasn't that, it was a tough regular season loss that might cost us a chance at the playoffs but if we don't make the playoffs this year that might be what we need to get to a level next year where we're not competing for the 8th seed but competing for a championship because that is what it's all about.
Yeah buddy, I still see that loss yesterday as another regular season loss. We don't have close to the odds of winning a championship this year as we did in those losses that hurt me so much. Also, I'm pretty sure if you've been watching what I've been watching, the experts are saying that our roster with Nurk and Zach is top three in the West but more like top 5 and the gap between the Bucks, Lakers, Clippers and everyone else is really big. I don't see this season as our best chance to win a title so if we don't and if that one regular season loss is what stopped us, it won't be nearly as painful as losing in the finals or conference finals for me. We all have different criteria for what hurts. On a side note, I do think, like everyone else, that we have the best chance to beat the Lakers out of anyone who can possibly face them in the first round and maybe even in the second round too.The thing is... we are still competing for a championship THIS season. This thread is like taking a bath in mental battery acid.
Clearly if they win today, it'll be top 4 wins all time.HAHA! Counter it with a Best Wins Ever Thread.
You had to go all the way back to game 3 of the WCF of last year's playoffs?I've followed the team since 1989 and this game was one of the worst losses ever for me. I'd make it Top 10 for sure.
