Yeah, Gleason was a very imperfect regular guy running around the streets of Brooklyn, NY. where he did hustle pool for money, amoung other things.
Very talented guy in a lot of ways. Absolutely immortal as Ralph Kramden. Amazing how that show still remains relevant and timeless.
The Hustler "Minnesota Fats" was a loud mouth bragger in real life and he was good but Willie Mosconi was the master of trick shots and his "runs" during tournaments were uncanny and still unmatched.
Great movie and Gleason really was "the great one".
