Would this trade make sense for either team?

The Dude is intrigued by a rumor he just made up

#10 to Indiana for a re-signed Psycho T at 6 million per and Ian Mahinmi. That gives us some inside muscle and defense on the front line and still leaves 4 million or so to add a wing player.

Ian Mahinmi is a stick figure, and last year had an ORtg that makes Joel Przybilla shake his head, but is a good defensive player, and would probably work well with Batum in double-team situations. Psycho T gets us that frontline bench player who has improved on defense every year since he's come into the league. It's not Hibbert, but it it two good defensive pieces. Plus, both are cheaply acquired, and leaves us with room to lure an offensive sparkplug for the bench (my personal fav is Nate Robinson, but there are several you could plug in there), or maybe a more dribble-savvy SG that lets us move Wes to the bench until we can trade him for that sparkplug.

I abide.

Neither one of those guys can play center.

The big issue with it is making a pick at 10 specifically for Indiana, and then hoping that come free agency, Hansborough wants to sign here for what we offer.

Bleh, both those guys suck. I'm hoping for more value out of that #10 (even with the extra capspace).

And if Psycho T ever becomes a Blazer, I'm going to have to reconsider my support for the team.

I wouldn't mind either player, personally, but I wouldn't want to give the #10 for Mahinimi, and 6 a year seems too high for Tyler. I'd sign him for 3 a year perhaps. But no sense in S&T for him.

I have seen Vogel put Pendy in ahead of Mahinmi before because he's more active and smarter.

Why do people always come up with these half-baked ideas of combining draft picks and free agents into the same trade? Far too many variables to actually happen... and, besides, even if it were possible, that trade would be HORRIBLE VALUE out of the #10 pick.

Back to the drawing board, "Dude."

If that's Olshey's big plan then he should just go ahead and fire himself.

So we let Hickson walk so we can S&T for a similar player, then we give up the 10 for a player that could not get the full MLE last summer?

Brilliant!

I wouldn't mind Ian Mahinmi as our second or 3rd Center but he is paid too much and for too long.

Psycho T, I am not interested in at all.
