Again, just throwing out topics to talk about, but coul dwe get something else from them for taking him? He would be a decent rotation big in Stotts system I think?

Someone finally found a "C" that another team would give away.

I bet they'd take a 2nd round pick.

He would probably fit Stotts system to a T but he would not improve us. Olshey specifically said Defensive Center. Bargs is horrible on D.

You have seen his contract right? We wouldn't be able to get a real "banger" if we got him.

I get this.

What else could we get though? His contract runs out in two years.

MM, I like looking at different options, but you're offering up our lotto pick for guys that are, well, not worth a lotto pick for certain. You're looking at guys their teams would have to pay a team to take. They'd absolutely have to sweeten it. No chance they give up Valnciunas for it.

I think you're starting a tad high. How about you just shit in your hand and see if they take that instead?

Would you deal #10 Mathews, Freeland Leonard for Bargnani DeRozen Ross and Big V?

Yes this one I would do even thought I think DeRozen is a bit of a chucker. They likely won't put Ross in that deal though.

Edit: I doubt we can do that deal financially. Don't both Bargs and DeRozen each make close to max?

I thought we needed defense and rebounding? And your proposed solution is a horrible defender that is grossly overpaid and the worst rebounding 7' center in the entire history of the NBA? Really?

It is just someone bored today that is trying to keep the forum busy.

We already allow the most points in the paint per game. Now, you want to cement that standing with Bargs?!? :biglaugh:

Would Toronto take the 10th pick in the draft to dump Bargnani?

Without thinking I bet

They'd take one of our second rounders to get out from under that contract. Shit, they'd probably take a third rounder (aka: nothing).

But, do we want to waste our cap space on a piece of shit like Bargnani? Forget what I said about the Perkins trade idea, this one is worse.

No and hell no! Bargs has negative value, Derozan is overpaid for what he brings, so basicall you are taking huge salary and trading the #10 and matthews AND leonard for BigV, that just sucks.

are U secretly a Raptor fan?

MM is on a streak today and it's not a good one - get new meds MM!

Seems like he's tossing out ridiculous trade ideas to get my most hated players. Who's next, Antoine Walker?

I interpreted the original question as: What would Toronto give us to take Bargnani and his contract off their hands, if we also sent back a no. 10 pick that many think isn't worth much. He went on to offer sending out players he doesn't much care for, and getting back Ross, Valcxyz, and Derosen. I don't think Bargnani was the defensive stopper in that random thought. :)

My answer to the OP: Not enough. :)

The 10th pick may not have a ton of value, but on the flip side, there isn't anyone on the entire Toronto roster outside of Valanciunas, worth the 10th pick alone, let alone the 10th pick AND taking back Bargnani and his ridiculous contract.

Ok, Bargs has negative value, TOR needs to offer stuff to get rid of him, to get a #10 pick and capspace, if that was the "original" intent it's even worse than I thought

Nobody on that team is a defensive stopper.

So, he asks if we want to straddle our team and destroy our hope for a defensive presence by taking back Bargs. It's absolutely ludicrous.

Boob, Blazin, Hobbes:

All good answers! :pimp:

10th pick is great.

Bulls got Noah with a #9. Spencer Hawes went #10.

Asik was a 2nd rounder.

I'v got a question about Noah for you Denny. A couple Sports writers, one on ESPN and another on Grantland, have brought up the possibility of the Bulls moving Noah to save money and open up more capspace to make a run at LBJ/Wade in 2014, do you see that as a possibility?

If there's profit in it for the owner, they'll make the trade. But I don't see it at all. At $11.3M, he's a reasonable contract. They'd have to amnesty boozer and trade Noah for nothing to clear about $11.3M in cap space.

The only negative about Noah is he misses a lot of games. He's had Plantar Fasciitis the two of the last three seasons.

I would take Bargnani if the Blazers get Ross back and swap picks should the Raptors get a better pick.
