No way, Doncic is overrated, he stucks the offense all the time, goes 1 on 4. Cj is the much better player

You realize that kind of rhetoric is said almost every year by some "expert" out there. We won't know how good the class is for a couple years...This draft has the most star potential in the top 10 in the last decade... going 4 isn’t a knock on Doncic... this draft is that stacked in top 10... Bagley, Bamba have just as much upside
Maybe said on talent or production in college, the difference this year is the unique physical attributes each of those players have to go with their resume... that is not available almost every yearYou realize that kind of rhetoric is said almost every year by some "expert" out there. Who knows, I've heard it so many times it doesn't mean anything to me at this point. I wait to judge until a couple years after they get drafted.Maybe said on talent or production in college, the difference this year is the unique physical attributes each of those players have to go with their resume... that is not available almost every year
I would take him at 2 if we had a way to get there! Luka isn't a college rookie, he's been playing professionally over seas for several years now. I see less risk in a player with this much exposure in today's world of video and scouting.
He was 17 when he played in this video against OKC.

Speaking on bad contracts... CJ will make between 25-30 mil per year the next 3 season... that’s is superstar money for a non all starWho knows, I've heard it so many times it doesn't mean anything to me at this point. I wait to judge until a couple years after they get drafted.
I would rather trade him to Philly for the #10 and Saric, or something like that. Because I'd get a pick and a not completely useless player. A lot of this is because I think Chandler wasn't that good pre-injuries and has hardly played in a while, I think he's a net negative on a huge contract. We complain about ET, we'd be paying a bench warmer super star money...
He's as good as Kemba Walker, Kyle Lowry, DeMar Derozan, who have all been All Stars. CJ has room to improve but he's shown that he can carry this Blazer team while Dame was out with injury.CJ is a good #3 at best... he is not an all star, and will never be on this team... the lack of flow and passing in the offense with Dame and CJ together negates any individual talent he brings on offense... this team would be much better with Doncic and Parsons now, and in the future
Let's imagine that for some reason Doncic isn't taken in the first three picks. So he's available at Memphis's #4. Then Memphis gets on the phone and says - hey Neil, you wanted Chandler Parsons, right? How bout you take his contract off our hands if we give you the #4 for CJ McCollum?
I think this is in the realm of the possible. Memphis has sided with Marc Gasol, making it clear that they're hitching their wagon to him. They also gave OBSCENE money to Mike Conley, whose absence last year kind of proved his value. And he's in his 30s now. It kind of makes sense to shoot for a third star, a shooter, to complement them. Plus, small franchise that they are, they've GOT to be regretting that Parsons contract.
So, we swap Parsons for CJ (it works, I checked it) and in the process get Doncic. In case you want to get excited about him, try this:
Would you do it?
Is that you CJ? Burner account? He's as good as Kemba Walker, Kyle Lowry, DeMar Derozan, who have all been All Stars. CJ has room to improve but he's shown that he can carry this Blazer team while Dame was out with injury.
He could go to the Nuggets and play with his buddy Will. That would be a much better team than what we have, minus CJ, plus Doncic. And go where?
We would need to accept an offer plus a genuine contender must want him. Genuine contenders at this point are Warriors, Rockets, maybe Celtics and whoever gets LeBron in the Summer.
He won’t displace Curry or Paul. He would have a chance at Celtics but would they really want to replace Irving?
If I have to over pay someone, I'd rather over pay someone who actually belongs on the court. For as much as CJ has his issues he's a legit NBA player and at this point Parsons really isn't...Speaking on bad contracts... CJ is one of the best scorers in the league and very possibly our best offensive playerIs that you CJ? Burner account?
It’s not a CJ vs Parsons debate... its CJ vs Doncic and Parsons... there is no cap room if you don’t take Parsons so I don’t understand your concern about money when you agree you would take Doncic without ParsonsIf I have to over pay someone, I'd rather over pay someone who actually belongs on the court. For as much as CJ has his issues he's a legit NBA player and at this point Parsons really isn't...
CJ is an ISO ball chucker that kills the flow of the offense... he would rather go one on three than pass to an open teammate... undersized, doesn’t pass, doesn’t play defense, getting paid near 30 mil perCJ is one of the best scorers in the league and very possibly our best offensive player

Bullshit, CJ isn't selfish and he scores a very good percentage. If he and Dame cooperate better instead of trying to steal eachothers' thunder we wouldn't be getting swept to the fucking PelicansCJ is an ISO ball chucker that kills the flow of the offense... he would rather go one on three than pass to an open teammate... undersized, doesn’t pass, doesn’t play defense, getting paid near 30 mil per
Haha what a crap commentNo way, Doncic is overrated, he stucks the offense all the time, goes 1 on 4. Cj is the much better player
"Bust" level Doncic is current level CJ.The real problem I have with trading an established player for a draft prospect is that there is a much higher chance for the prospect to be a bust than that’s The established players production drops off.
Then when you couple that with Parson...
To me you maybe do that if you’re going to trade Dame too, because you made the decision you’re going to suck for a while and you’re trading Dame out of mercy...
No bust level Doncic is back playing in Europe in 3-4 years cause he couldn’t make it. CJ is an eite scorer sure he’s not that good anywhere else but we have no idea how well Doncic will do in the NBA."Bust" level Doncic is current level CJ.
CJ is good, but he's nowhere close to being elite.
You don't get more. If anything, they ask for our #24 as well.I'd want more.
CJ for #4 + Brooks + Parsons + 2020 lotto protected 1st.
Then, I'd seriously consider it.
So that's a "no, I would never trade a known quantity for an unknown quantity, even if many scouts think he may be the best ever from Europe". Got it.No bust level Doncic is back playing in Europe in 3-4 years cause he couldn’t make it. CJ is an eite scorer sure he’s not that good anywhere else but we have no idea how well Doncic will do in the NBA.
I would do this trade but that's unfair. CJ is a top-3 player on a top-3 (in the West, in the regular season) player."Bust" level Doncic is current level CJ.
CJ is good, but he's nowhere close to being elite.
I don’t care if he’s my next door neighbor, until he proves he can do it in the NBA it doesn’t really matter to me what he does.Luka doesn't need to jump out of the gym. He needs a high bbiq and the ability to PASS the fricken ball to open teammates. He has that in spades along with the ability to get his own shot off with a deadly step back.
Luka would improve the flow of the offense and keep us from being so one dimensional.
People are sleeping on Luka because he isn't in the U.S.!
I don’t care if he’s my next door neighbor, until he proves he can do it in the NBA it doesn’t really matter to me what he does.
He very well might be a really good NBA player someday.
To me Dame is one of the franchises best players ever in his prime and if you are going to trade CJ for this package you’re basically saying we’re building around Collins and Doncic, which is fine but you might as well trade Dame, because they won’t be competing for anything for at least another 3-5 years and no way Dame sits around and waits that out.
