They have looked, they have offered, they have been rejected (think Memphis with a stockpile of points, think Golden State still with a stockpile of athletes, think Houston with unused third-string point guard types).

Brooks certainly is not unused and Houston seems uninterested.

How about Luther Head? Anyone like that?

He's the only unused PG they have. The Nets couldn't possibly have offered Williams for him, right?

Would you trade SW for Aaron Brooks?
 
Brooks is Houston's back-up PG now. I don't see them trading him.

I may be willing to, but tbh I didn't know who he was until I just looked it up. Judging from his stats, though, he has good scoring ability. Doesn't seem like he'd be that great on defense.
 
Houston is trying to win, so I realize they wouldn't trade their backup PG.

I was curious if Nets fans would make this deal. Last year I bet they could have done it.

Who is Kerber talking about? The Rockets rejected a deal for Head, Barry or Francis??

I think it's Head, but don't know what the Nets offered. Could've been Ager.
 
i dont think they would have last year either... they didnt give up aaron brooks for artest last year. That shows u how much the gm values brooks.

The same GM was just as infatuated with Head once.
 
I can't see the Rockets willing to trade Brooks fo Williams. The PG position is their biggest weakness so I doubt that'll give up Brooks who has been providing quite a spark off the bench for them. Plus the Rockets don't need Sean Williams although his shot blocking abilities off the bench would help them. What they need is a 7 footer off the bench to back up Yao.
 
Brooks is a very small scoring point with an inconsistent shot and not much upside. (And he got beat by a girl heads up in the college 3-point contest. Pfffft.)

I would not trade Sean Williams for him unless I were trying to win right away, which the Nets are not.

I've heard the Memphis rumors and would be very interested in trading Sean for one of their PGs, but there is absolutely no fit with Houston for either side as far as I can tell.

exactly what I was thinking haha. Brooks also doesn't have a problem with marijuana or the ability to be a malcontent

Good analogy. I have no idea what its supposed to mean though.

The guys I'd see if we could get for SWat would be Crittenton or look to Denver for Smith or Kleiza. The latter two we would likely have to give something else with him, but they need some more bigs.

kinda what i thought, but i was thinking we had a feast of big men, so Sean was just a big mac compared to all of the other guys. Which confused me.
