OK, here's the story: the first message board I ever started posting at was the old NBA LIVE message board back in 2003. Some awesome posters were also there....off the top of my head: aibanks3 (JBB's P.A.P.), GrnDynsty (Celtics fan, used to have a blog on JBB), og15 (old JBB'er) and chingy0007 (me and him have been all over the web together haha). Super-quality posts, great threads, whatever. We talked about the game but also about the NBA in real life and had great discussions. After a while though all the good posters migrated to JBB, and I went along as well. The Live boards slowly died. I would check them out once in a while, see if there's any reason to go back, but none of the old guys remained. Around one year later, I got a PM from P.A.P. :
So obviously I went over there and they really did have a thread where they basically remembered all of us old posters as "legends". So, I posted a little and the guys really did treat me like a god (lol) so I kept posting every once in a while. One day I had a cool idea for a thread, where each poster would ask if "you would trade X for Y" and the next one would have to respond and add a "would you trade..." of his own. A short while after making the thread I left the LIVE boards for good. Nearly a year later, I was curious to see how well my thread did...890 replies and 8080 views in 11 months, and the thread was still on the forum's 2nd page. That may not seem like that much to you, but that board was pretty much dead...so I was surprised.
After all that background info which probably bored you to death, the reason I made this thread was to see exactly how successful it can really be. Here are the rules from way back in '05, slightly changed (I actually found my post from back then):
If anyone is extremely bored and actually got to this part of my post, here's the link to the original thread:

-Someone posts a trade (ex. T-Mac for Kobe) and the person who posts under him needs to say if he would do that trade or not, and post another trade of his own. For example:
Somebody posts: Would you trade Shaq for Yao?
The person who posts under: No. Would you trade Dirk for Nash?
The person who posts under: Yes. Would you trade Pierce for KG?
and so on....
You don't have to post it like that, you can make it shorter, like: Dirk for Nash? instead of Would you trade Dirk for Nash?
-Try not to repeat trades that have already been said, like don't say "T-Mac for Kobe" if it's been said twice already. Be creative.
