Would you want any of them back?

I'd be very open to taking back LA, Nic & Robin as each is better then the current starters. I'd particularly like Nic back at the starting 2 guard and move CJ to 6th man. Though I'm sure he'll be back to his former effective ability soon, Wes is paid too much. Patty Cakes would be a nice option off the bench

Nic and Zach are the only two guys I'd want back on the team - starting SF and PF respectively.
But I'm generally not in favor of bringing players back.

Depends if you factor salary into the equation, expected minutes and expected role with the team. If I could bring Frye back in place of an expiring Kaman or Alexander I do it but if he is going to demand minutes or his current multi-year salary I don't.

Nic is towards the top of the list. Zach is up there. Wes for sure. Lopez and LaMarcus. Thats really it for guys that I'd be comfortable starting a game. I'm basically fine with the terms all of them parted with the team; except Zach. Never should've traded him for so little.

I'd rather have Mo Williams from a talent perspective than Tim Frazier but is he happy playing those few minutes and does he try to take CJ or Dame's shots? Same for Patty Mills, Jerryd Bayless, Aaron Afflalo, Will Barton, and the injured Jarrett Jack. Those players are all superior to a guy on our 15 man roster. Luke Babbitt is another guy that has value; he had some huge games starting for the Pelicans last year. Don't want him here as an every game role player but he would be much better than Luis Montero or Pat Baseball. Jamal Crawford again is a guy that could have value but I don't want him taking shots from Dame, CJ, Crabbe.

Neil has done a great job of having clear roles for this team. That is one of the hardest things with NBA players is having them happy with their shots and minutes.

Zach Randolph would be a nice veteran steadying influence on this team (I just had to say that ;) ) and would give us a nice offensive punch. Batum would also be very nice on this team.

Dame/Crabbe/CJ/(Hendo)
Batum/Aminu/(Harkless)
Zach/Noah
Ed/Plums/LaimBeibs

That's a damn good team, IMO.

Bring back HA

Only playing with 4 players on the court?

Haha. I was combining the guards positions.

Since Patty is a popular choice, how does this look:

Dame/Patty
CJ/Crabbe
Batum/Aminu
Zach/Noah
Plums/Ed/Beibs

Not a defensive juggernaut but fun to watch.

Just drop Batum

Dame / Patty
CJ / Crabbe
Aminu / Hendo
Zach / Vonleh
Ed / Plumlee

Big yes to bring Patty Mills back, he is only 27 years old. Plus he was a fun guy.

Zach is 34, no thanks.

Zach has like 3-4 years left in him imho, plus he'd be PERFECT to bring in and teach our young bigs that old school post game.
This. Zach/Noah is a good combination of old/young and Zach can certainly teach Noah a thing or two.

Patty is the easy answer imo.

Patty and Jack are both easy answers...one of the Blazers weakest points is back up point guard, and they would both certainly fix that.

I would certainly take back Sergio, but I wouldn't care to bring back anyone else mentioned...the bigger question is who would want to come back?

It's a nice thought that having LA or ZBO back at the PF will lead us back to winning ways, or even Batum for that matter helming the 2 or 3 spot. But familar players equals familiar problems...

And while it's fun to think about, I say don't bring any back, keep moving forward, stay with the plan and let not the temptation of bringing back past players find us.

If I had to pick one player its Batum. He can fill a variety of rolls and help setup an offense or defer to other players. Guys like ZBo and LMA are a lot of work to structure an offense around. Batum is younger than most the former Blazers, gets along great with Dame and mostly left on good terms. His age fits this roster. He is a free agent this summer; so he is more realistically attainable. Plus how cool would it be to have both Batum and Noah?

I think Charlotte panicks and give Batum a full max 5 year deal which he should take while we can only offer 4 years. But it's interesting to think about.

Dame
CJ / Crabbe
Batum / Hendo
Aminu / Vonleh
Plumlee / Davis

I like that 9 man rotation. Can start Noah or Aminu at PF depending on the matchup. Batum's playmaking would be a help to CJ and Dame so they don't have to do everything. It looks crowded at first but we've had unusually good health this year; most seasons one or two guys will miss extensive games.

Looking at it more makes me think we really just need to target a wing with all our free agency money; even if we keep Hendo and Crabbe.

remember how LA's rebounding took off when Robin arrived? Boxing out really well doesn't show up on the individual's stats, but it sure helps the team win. RoLo is also a much better rim protector which improved the overall team D. Since for me the most important thing that Bigs do is board & defend, yes I'd say he's better. Plus as Shonz always said... "you've got to hit your FTs". Robin is money at the line while Plumlee... not so much. I'd rather have him as the main backup 4/5 Big off the bench.

Nic Batum made Rolo a better player...the pick and Rolo ...last few months and playoffs though...Rolo was a no show ..so was Nic

Something weird was going on there. Rolo checked out, was laying down away from the bench, not rooting the guys on like earlier in the year. Maybe he knew he wasn't going to be back and gave up. Whatever, I'd rather have Plumlee.

Kind of around the time LA said guys needed to work as hard as he did
