Wow...Banned from Blazers edge after 14 years

Made the mistake of going against the editorial slant and hitting back on people saying nonsense and banned after 14 years with no warning. Incredible. This Billups thing is so monumentally stupid all around I can scarcely believe it. The amount of upset is amazing to me given how little noise people were making during the process about Billups specifically. If they were going to go ape like this, they should have been EXTREMELY CLEAR to management much, much earlier in the process.

To be honest Blazersedge has become a weird hybrid of Blazers basketball and DNC talking points and censorship for the past 5 years. I would tolerate it for the excellent comments, but it's gotten out of hand. I say this as someone who's never voted for a Republican at the national level in my life! The whole city and that forum have gone absolutely off the rails. People were supporting the riots in which my own wife, who is black, was harassed and had pee thrown at her by white protestors. So yeah, I hated those damn riots and I have a right to say so. "But BE is a private forum!" Well, I got news for ya. AT&T owns these here internet hubs what are you gonna do when THEY start censoring what flows through their hubs SJW's?

it’s not really about helping when it’s purely performative and not actual volunteering and donations as I and others have done. Instead, it’s egoic, self-centered signaling of superiority. It’s a pox upon the body politic and the country.

People who actually do the work (not just show up for party riots) when it’s not exciting are completely different. Those who pull out their digital soapbox to declare how wounding this is for them, and how terrible people are for not agreeing with their superior position are completely different from people who do the work. There are also people in this specific instance who have been victimized and that too is different. Again a ton of survivors in my personal sphere and I worked with DV survivors for years as a social worker.

I’m just saying as a Social Worker for almost 20 years, nothing annoys me more than Performative Virtue Signalers who never do the work, never stay to continue the work when the excitement ends, but force their way to the microphones, and Bullhorns are just the worst sorts of people.

That was a big part of my point and why I was banned I'm sure. For YEARS, I've railed against Blazersedge becoming a Campaign Office of the Democratic National Committee. More and more they became partisan to the point of madness. Now they allow one side to say outright slander and falsehoods on the daily and INSTANTLY censor any opposing views. It was practically a Biden campaign office last year. Full disclosure, I didn't vote for EITHER of those fuckers! If I would EVER say anything about Biden or Hunter biden it would get deleted. I'm sure you can STILL find posts from 2016 that were anti-Trump that are still up. It's like make up your fucking mind can you talk politics or not? If not fine I'm actually WAY into that, but don't fucking censor one side you Pravda-esque hacks!
