I just thought he just had the mindset of a writer in the 1500's were you got paid by the word not the book.

The real point here, is that this coming fiasco has zero benefits for the fans. No matter who wins, none of it will be relevant to us.

The Clips are going to renounce each and every one of those new players (Blake, Outlaw and Gooden) and their own free agents in order to clear as much cap room as possible this summer ... and when Lebron rebuffs them and they end up throwing a max contract at Rudy Gay, they can right back to playing no defense, underachieving and sucking in general.

I enjoy the writings of Bill Simmons. I think he's always got a number of entertaining ideas. None of which would probably work out in the real world, but that's why he's a writer, which is what one does when they can't teach, much less do. I just don't like that he's critical of my favorite team.
