Really, they aren't a normal high school team. They're recruits. Although that happens all the time at big time high school athletic programs.

MLS teams are starting to sign high school kids to contracts through a new youth development mandate.

As for this, it seems that they'll be trotting the players out for college scouts in their own way. I don't think they'll be spending any more time with safety goggles and bunsen burners.
