My AIM isnt working for some reason i sign on after maybe an hour it signs me off automatically
 
I ain't no pro with AIM, so what I would do is maybe uninstall the program and install it again
 
try rebooting your comp. whenever something messes up on mine, be it iTunes, aim, IE, anything, i just reboot and half the time its fixed.
