WTF was Batum doing there?

It must be a French traditional to punch someone in the nuts on purpose when they win.

That was worse than the nut cracker that Melo got against Spain.

I didn't see it, but everyone on Twitter was saying it was cheap and suspension-worthy. Was it? They also said the game ended in handshakes, and then Tony Parker smashed his goggles...

Sounds like Batum got frustrated at (a) choking away a lead in the fourth and (b) Rudy flopping. Was that right? (But why punch Navarro for a Rudy flop, I don't know.)

Looks like he was going for the ball and accidentally hit the balls.

Is there another link other than just the actual punch? (Repeated over and over) You would punch the ball away with a closed fist, but this looks pretty bad. I would like to see it from 5 seconds earlier.

If you were doing that, would you give that quote to Wojo afterwards? I actually respect Batum more for not attempting to lie about it.

I posted before I read the quote. But yeah I could see where he may try to punch the ball out, miss badly and then just accept the fact he went over board and not try to deny it.

france is pissed, and they should be

and batum wasnt trying to hit him in the cock, he was going for the ball on a hard intentional foul

Very hard

love it....bring some of that attitude to portland nic....a nasty nic is worth 45 mil

It is JCN's fault for having the ball so close to his nuts.

It's a fine French tradition:

Finally, I asked Batum if he felt like his punch ultimately gave Navarro a 'good reason' to flop. "I hope so," Batum said.

To be fair, Nic Batum did ask Juan-Carlos Navarro what the capital of Thailand was before he did this..

I wonder if Claver is going to come down with a mysterious injury right before the start of training camp?
