WVU Students Murder

Childers said. ?I?ve never seen anything like that in my entire life.?Johnston, a Buffalo Township native, was an engineering student who was scheduled to graduate in May.?There were words exchanges that led to an altercation where this young man was stabbed,? said Morgantown Police Chief Phillip Scott. ?As we understand it right now, there were upwards to 12-15 people involved. Some stayed on the scene some fled.?Johnston was known by his friends as "R.J."."It?s just a tragedy," said Megan Thompson, Johnston's friend. "He was such a nice kid and a good friend to everyone that knew him."I just can?t believe it happened to a kid like him and a family like that," Johnston added. "He was like a brother to everybody that knew him. He always made everyone laugh."Johnston, the captain of McGuffey High School's soccer team as a senior, is survived by his parents as well as a brother and a sister."I try not to think about it," Thompson said. "I?m more angry than upset at this point."</div>I'm very sad to hear this considering I went to school there and lived right on the street where the young man was murdered my junior year. What is the world coming to?

My sister's friend got killed by a drunk driver. He was only 15 years old. Anyone who dies that young isn't funny.

My condolences go out to the victims family.Guys i dont know what world you live in, but around here get shot/stabbed/beaten up.. sometimes even do death pretty often. Yes its a sad world, and jeefunk making a joke.. was dumb as hell, but so what? that doesnt make him a sick person.. or a disgusting human being.. He just take this kinda of shit not as serious as others. Yes this is indeed very sad.. but come on, nobody knew him in here, i'm sure his family,friends, peers are very upset, but the way i see our lives(at least mine) is already full of saddness and unjustice. I personally don't think someone's murder is a laughing matter. And it doesn't matter if this is the internet or not. That is irrelevant. This college student will never realize his dream of becoming an engineer. He will never marry. He will never have children, thus, never giving his parents the grandchildren I'm sure they've dreamed of. He will never own a home. He will never be able to travel abroad. He will never buy a car. He will never be able to participate in any of the sports, hobbies, etc., which were important to him. Sometimes it's about compassion and kindness and thoughtfulness and sadness over the death of someone so young who will never realize his dreams.Coming onto a message board and making jokes about someone's death breeds contempt because most people are good people. Sorry, but it's my opinion that jeefunk's so called "humor" regarding this matter is classless, and it disgusts me. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I just think of a life wasted and dreams that will never be realized because of this guy's murder.It's truly a shame when murders are taken so lightly and made fun of. I suppose some people just have a coldness deep inside them that provokes such behavior.Maybe that's the difference between myself and jeefunk. I'm a person with compassion.
