I recommend getting a program called stylexphttp://download.tgtsoft.com/StyleXPInstallMale.zipits a free trial but all the xp theme programs out there are shareware and this is the best program unless you want to be a pirate 
when u download a theme make sure u know what your doing. sometimes they can contain spyware. I usually use this site: http://www.appleblossomart.com/xpthemes.htmto get themes and styles. usually u just want to get a theme for the taskbar and the start menu and stuff. the rest like wallpaper and stuff u can just customize yourself. so anyway once u install a theme just open up style xp and if u want to load up the entire theme then goto the themes bar and select it or goto styles if u just want the taskbar and pick it and click apply. but if you downloaded it as seperate files like .theme or .style or somethin and its usually in a zip file jsut extract it to your desktop or somewhere you can locate and open up style xp and load it up.if u need more step by step help just pm me
