On MLB Hot Stove it was mentioned how quiet the Yankees were, Verducci also brought it up on the afternoon program adding that the Red Sox were now the better team. The Sox have to pitch and right now they don't look like they are shaped up in that arena.

I guarantee the Sox will be trading for pitching and soon. Probably sign Shields and trade for Hamels. Just my guess. Cashman has to get in the game and quick. Giants are now targeting Headley.

You know Jill I was telling my pal the other night, I said that if Sandoval bolts SF don't be surprised if they make a pitch for Headley. We'll see.

Today all programs I watched on MLB were talking Boston going for Hammels, Shields was discussed as a Cub, and talk of San Fran going after Lester. My belief is that Lester will go to an NL Team first being the Cubs but if the Giants jump in there could be some salary war. Headley to the Giants is a possibility meanwhile Cashman has not found the coffee which he will have to wake up to and smell.
