As for Chris Stewart - you wasted 2-3 pages of a few threads babbling about how playing Stewart "gave the Yankees a better chance to win" vs. playing Romine. So when you say a player gives a team "a better chance of winning if he plays vs. when he does not", you are thus indicating that he is a "difference-maker" (else why would you so adamantly and passionately want him in their vs. a kid who can only get better, vs. Stewart who predictably got worse as the season went on).

Most everyone here thinks Chris Stewart is garbage (even Stewart knows he sucks) and found your logic faulty, primarily because you focused on Chris Stewart and held him up as some sort of game-changer, as if his contribution in a game could possibly be measured positively and him being the difference in the team winning or losing. It's not possible - he barely counts, and served the part of a barely-warm body this season, pretty much turned ripe and cold by season's end.

I just think Texas is going to make a run, I have no proof, no articles to reference, just a gut feeling. The Cano camp keeps waiting for a market to develop, which was something I feel Boras was great at, more so than any other agent. All it will take is one bid to jack it up to 200+. The Yankees are all in, they don't know how to walk away. Vette mentioned earlier that we should sign Infante now. It would leverage Cano while providing a 3B option or super sub. I would love this move, potentially, the money they could "possibly save" by leveraging Cano could pay some or all of Infante salary.

Saying that Stewart was a better option than Romine was quite accurate and I proved it with facts. He was better offensively and defensively at the time than Romine and you cannot dispute that. But that in no way equates to me saying that Stewart is a top shelf catcher. I also asked you why Girardi should have been starting Romine instead who is an even worse catcher than Stewart during a playoff run in the middle August...again you declined.
