RHP - Ivan Nova, (1-2, 2.65 ERA)

VS.

LHP - Eduardo Rodriquez, (4-2, 3.69 ERA)

Lineups to follow..........

Going dancing with the squeeze tonight, hope I get home and find the Yankees won the game.

Tonight's lineup......

CF - Ellsbury
LF - Gardner
DH - Rodriquez
1B - Teixeira
RF - Jones
3B - Headley
C - Murphy
SS - Gregorius

You'll notice that there's only 8 players & no 2nd baseman. Its not available yet, I'm guessing its a game time decision. I'm hoping its Refsnyder.

..."2Bman?...we don't need no stinking 2Bman" (bandito voice)

GIDP to start his career....so he has a Jeter gene.

refsnyder looks good on d so far and good dp turn

I'm just hoping that if he starts out 0-10 that Girardi doesn't give up on him.

You know if he starts out only 2-10 he'll be hitting higher than Drew.

HOLY CRAP! Harold Reynolds never shuts the f'k up. :blahblah::blahblah::blahblah:

I want Nova to 'chiny-chin-chin' the
bosoxBlabberMouth.....just once, please.

...Yanx got a break there...Headley should have been ruled out.

The way Reynolds is heaping praise on the Red Sox you'd think he was lobbying for a job with the team.

No shit, Harold has been talking like this game is over, since the score became 3-2 Bosox.......idiots often just don't know when to STFU.......and to think he gets paid for his bullshit......

I know, the way he's carrying on you'd think the Sox were on a 10 game winning streak.

I did not like the pitch selection of Warren to Bogaerts, (hit into the RH INF gap), he was looking to go to the opposite field; the inside pitch that landed Boggy in the dirt, said as much.......so why not continue inside???? That hit, could have been avoided, IMO....

Oh yeah, he's been jabbering, as if this is a Post Season Game, or as if, this one game will determine the fate of the Yanx, for the entire next half.......Reynolds, belongs in the same septic tank as Joe Morgan.....

I'm also not thrilled the way they were pitching to Ortiz, like they were were scared shit of him. Someone needs to back him off the plate.

Ping Pong, fk, next thing Harold will be bullshitting about is Badmitton.......WTF- over........?

Amen, alot of high and tight, followed by a couple sliders that break outside the strike zone. Shrek is beyond his years IF he's facing a Pitcher who isn't afraid to claim the plate for His own.....make Shrek eat dirt

...I know Shreve busted him inside at least once.

Agree big time - keen observation , and you are SO right - imo.
Although Bogaerts didn't hit the ball hard - kind of a easy slow ground ball to 2b with Refsnyder playing very deep resulting in an infield hit - the PREVIOUS pitch (fastball) had good inside location and had Bogaerts tied up, helpless and on the defensive fouling off the pitch.......
.......the very next pitch, and I just knew the Yankee catcher was going to set up on the OUTSIDE part of the plate - (it's the Yankee pitcher's and catcher's M.O.) - and lo and behold, Warren threw a pitch where Bogoerts was able to just reach out, drop the bat on the ball and direct to it to the hole on the right side of the infield.
Just what the doctor ordered for Bogaerts..he says "thank you".

Horrible pitch selection/sequence by Warren and the Yankee catcher.
They should've instead came right back with a good inside and tight, or higher up the ladder fast ball - and I was thinking along those lines BEFORE the Bogaerts' infield single - no 2nd guessing.

The Yankee pitchers in general just DON'T get into the kitchen enough (with fastballs) on opposing batters.
I guess they just don't have enough confidence in their control - and are worried about accidentally putting a runner on base by plunking him, and/or, are worried about missing the target and leaving a pitch over the MIDDLE of the plate.

Well they BETTER keep working on hitting that "inside and tight" LOCATION.

Yep - and I believe Ortiz helplessly fouled it off and looked confused, overly uncomfortable AND surprised right afterwards.

This guy Ortiz just doesn't seem to expect Yankee pitchers will choose to go at him with high and tight fastballs, especially with any kind of consistency.
