There have been multiple examples, corroborated by the GMs direct quotes, that those guys had run their course. Plain and simple. Yet the blind denial to accept the fact that the Ownership believes they have the right GM and Mgr has completely led to you guys losing your freaking minds and common sense....not to mention internet manners.

Debate the topic. How are we ever going to get more people on the board if we attack every new poster? They are going to rename the board, Grumpy Old Men of Sports2".

I think we all agree having an all-star type lineup with a few good hitters at the height of their game is EASIER to "coach" than this 2014 bunch - Long was unable to HELP produce better results...near the bottom in team offense.

It's beginning to look as if those good hitters MADE Long and he has very few if any successes in turning around struggling hitters and making them at least "okay" hitters...I didn't hear many if any Yankee batters credit Long for helping them turn their seasons around...lmao.

And when I say IT'S NO BIG THING --- I see no controversy or problem with letting Long go.
Even if it were just cosmetic or sacrificial- so be it.....the numbers justify it.


You just don't agree with me on this and vice versa- that's fine. Lets leave it at that.

I commented on Long's dismissal....I never mentioned anything about a bigger impact on this team.
Yanks chose to make a change with their hitting coach and sacrificed the 1b coach along the way. I don't fault them for replacing Long. I agree with it.
