...Grandy?...meh, he wanted a longer term contract than the Yanx were willing to give. (he declined the QO made by the Yanx)
...I was OK with signing Beltran, but for 3 freaking years?
...and yes, I was also for signing Tex back then, but look at him now. I'm starting to think like messiah, Tex's decline makes me rethink as to whether he's a former PED user or not...anything's possible.
...He's no longer hammering FBs and hanging breaking balls like he used to on a regular basis. And when he's batting LHed he still stubbornly tries to pull an outside pitch through the shift when he could easily hit/slap the ball to the opposite side of the field. This would not only give the Yanx essentially a free runner on 1B, it also saves them an almost sure out...think about that for a second and what it would mean for this team's offense. But at this point, the only good thing you can say about Tex is defense makes the whole infield better defensively.
...but this all comes full circle when we realize that ultimately, Cashman should be held accountable for the roster decisions/moves, and the Steins should be held accountable for the GMs decisions/moves.
