I dunno, our starting pitching should be fine and our defense has improved but I think the BP could be pivotal.
Totally agree. I see this team struggling early, getting hot for about a month just enough to make you think they’ve “turned the corner” and enough for Trashman to trade away youth for 45 year old players who are garbage and setting the team back another 3-5 years, and then after the trade deadline falling flat out of the playoff race by midish September. Praying I’m wrong and just being too pessimistic but every team other than Baltimore has gotten much better and we’re trotting out the same basic team as last year that couldn’t get it done with their HR or nothing philosophy.

Yep.the beat goes on with former Yankee Greg Bird doing damage in another ST game loss. With Cashman and Boner at the helm of the Yankee Clipper there will be many storms to be sailed into. Don't know how many others like the new rules but I think they pretty much suck especially the "Ohtani Rule" Tired of hearing aboust how individual stars deserve to be in the World Series. If a team fails to get thir elite a good supporting cast and they can/t earn a spot to qualify tough shit.

Yankee management has been short-sighted far too much on their selection & deduction of ball players. I hope
Greg Bird does well wherever he plays. Trashman dismissed him as “washed up & too injury prone”.
I believe those words should refer to himself & his ‘gopher’ manager.

Not really concerned with the scores of preseason games but it seems we all "worship the quicksand Cashman walks on".

"The Yankees signed first baseman Greg Bird to a minor league contract and assigned him to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Bird was with New York from 2015 to 2019 but had his career derailed by injuries. He opted out of his contract with the Toronto Blue Jays after hitting .261 with two homers and six RBIs during spring training,
Bird, 29, played in Triple-A for Colorado last season, hitting .267 with 27 home runs and 91 RBIs.
"He can hit," Boone said. "Health has always been the issue for him, but I don't think anyone has ever doubted his potential and what he could be as a big league hitter. Get another talented guy that appears to be healthy."

Bird in response to BaBoone's moronic comment(s): - The man only knows how to blow bubbles in his speedos, (which he always wears a pink pair under his half-assed uniform, if you want to call a T-Shirt a uniform. He has no clue what he's doing, he doesn't know talent when it smacks him in the balls. He could never hit to save his ass as a player himself, and he sure as hell has no clue how a Pitching staff is supposed to function, I mean he kept a picture of Chapman in his closet, where he lives, in the closet along with all of the returned valentines he gets returned from players. He made Trashman trade me because I not only returned the valentine's card he sent me, but I called him out man... I told him you only chew Bazooka to strengthen your jaws, not for blowing bubbles, but for blowing the chief, yeah, I walked in on him when he was under Trashman's desk. I only wish I had my cell phone on me to snap a quick pic... that's why I got traded, it had nothing to do with injuries.
