I would like to see the Yankees trade for Andrew McCutchen. Retain McCann, and trade the Judy hitting Brett Gardner, who hasn't learned the art of stealing a base in 10 years.
 
...Hey MB...Houston and Atlanta have expressed interest in McCann (and there probably others) and I think it's only a matter of getting the right deal for him for him to be traded. I like Brian too but Sanchez will surely be the primary catcher next year which means McCann will be relegated to a backup role as a catcher and/or a platoon DH vs RHed pitching.
...I just don't think his offensive numbers would justify his salary as a part time catcher/DH, plus I don't think McCann would be happy in such a reduced role...so though I'm a fan of his, I think he ultimately ends up somewhere else...just my 2 cents.

...but I do agree on Gardner...or if Cashman can figure out a way to swing a crazy deal like Boston did a few years ago I will take back every bad thing I've ever said about him. But again, like Boston, he'd have to convince some other GM to take the Yanx' refuse and take on some sort of 2 or 3 player combination of McCann, Gardner, Ellsbury, Headley, and CC. (yeah, I know, I know)

...and oh, I would not mind the Yanx signing Napoli or Morales on a one year deal in case Bird is not completely healed...either can replace Bird at 1B or fill the DH spot nicely.

Yes, your logic is right on, however I was looking at the splits and with Sanchez getting the majority of AB's at catcher, his numbers against right handed pitchers are decent especially at home. So I guess if we can trade for the right bat, it doesn't matter. I also am concern that we are getting to righty oriented. Bird and McCann are the only power hitters from the left unless you count DiDi.

...yup, that's why I mentioned Morales or Napoli...Morales would probably be more ideal since he's a switch hitter and like Napoli, can DH or fill in a 1B...but you're right, this time last year we were pondering the need for a RHed power bat but Sanchez has filled that spot and obviously at YS we need to take advantage of that RF porch.

He should of taken it. I really expect Joey Bats, to become Joey Flats, once he is removed from that fkng Homer Dome, can you say 12 HR's and a shit load of deep fly outs....

Out of the Top 30 Yanx Prospects, for 2016; 17 are Pitchers. Of those 17, ( 3 ) are Southpaws.

It's going to take a couple to few years, for prospects to develop. Hope this year's plan, is a photocopy of Epstein's Plan. That will take time and patience, something I hope the brass has. Fan's too...

ah shit, and just when I was ready beginning to get a bit of faith, trust in a GM, I've long not cared for.

Obviously Brian didn't obtain a blueprint of Theo's Plan....?
