LA Times hears from a source that any suspension for Aroldis Chapman for his Domestic Violence Incident will be limited to regular season games as per Bill Shaikin.
 
...wouldn't surprise me, Lil...but I still don't care for his antics and hot dogging...IMO, he just doesn't fit what I consider to be "the Yankee mold".
 
Fox Sports reports that Jose Reyes will be placed on administrative leave as per Ken Rosenthal.
 
...'administrative leave"?...what kind of crack-head weasel term is that?....seems to me that it's some sort of pre-cursor to his inevitable suspension...with hopes that Manfred might include "time served" in with his total suspension term...making him either available sooner or making him more tradable in the meantime.

Ron, I heard it's pending the completion of Criminal Proceedings in Hawaii. Who knows how long that will take.

...^^^ I saw the story, but that's all it was, a story...no one actually quoted Bautista as saying that. And since that story broke he has denied it was true.

...personally, I think at his age, any team giving him anything more than 3 years would be a big risk.
 
At 35 years old, yeah, 3 years sounds about right.
