Ohtani vs Cortes
Detmers vs Taillon

The amazing ohtani (except at Yankee stadium) gives up 3 hrs to WC Mason, gleyber day and all riise! 3-0 yanks behind the frito bandito on the mound!

Time to get rizzo and his pathetic .210 average out of the 3 hole till he starts hitting. Too many defensive players and no hit on this team. Yanks lead 4-0 anyway

Ohtani pitched three innings, his longest career outing at Yankee Stadium. His prior outing at YS was 2/3 of one inning.

Ohtani is not the wonder kid most propagandist want us to believe!

Carpenter- his first three hits as a Yankee were home runs, so were Alfonso Soriano's first three hits were home runs

GT Solo shot

All Rise!!!

Ohtani caught sleeping at first leaning off the bag, Cortes made him look like a rookie.

Followed by Trout looking at strike three!

LeMahieu with a solo home run!

I can't believe it a DOUBLE HEADER TELECAST! ON Fox Sports West AKA Bally Sports

A couple of big breaks for the Yankee batter's.

The second base umpire thinks he's a pinball machine, hard grounder bounces off of the UMP, more than likely busting up a double play.

With 2 on Gonzalez hits a deep fly up against the right field wall, which the Angels outfielder Ward warned bobbles the ball which falls out of his glove, about the time he hit the wall.

The big guy up to bat #99 on the corners and 2 outs, fights off foul balls, and whiffs at strike 3

From a 3-1 count to a strikeout looking. Ohtani goes down looking, and starts to walk to first base showing up the ump.

Straight number 3 called looking is the red Circle number 6

DOUBLE HEADER
GAME 2
LOU GEHRIG DAY
On this day June 2nd Lou Gehrig played in his first game, and Wally Pipp did not.

Also On this day Lou Gehrig passed away with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).upload_2022-6-2_16-13-37.png

Angel's Pitcher Ty Detmers is coming off of a no-hitter on May 10th versus the Tampon Bay Rays.

Taillion has a much better ERA than Detmers. It's good to see last year's starters both Cortes and Taillon have seemed to turn around their games, at least for the time, and I hope for the entire year.

Hell, it's good to see a Yankees game on TV period, let alone a double header. I cannot recall the last time we had a double header telecast on the West Coast!

Both Pitchers with a 1-2-3 first inning!
(Oh-ho-ho tie your own shoelaces), hits a deep ball into the warning tracks up against the CF fence, a long fly out.

IMO long bird nest beards do not belong in baseball, like the one Brandon Marsh wears, like the one Charlie Blackmon (Rockies) has worn for years, (it's not like they can't afford a haircut or a shave)... like the one I wear, but I don't play MLB, not even on Xbox.

2nd inning in a row that we had runners on 1B and 2B when nobody out...and not of the next 6 batters manage to advance the runners, much less drive one in.

"Turrible"...(Charles Barkley voice)

Jesus christ, Gallo, WTF are you swinging at?

His swing and whiff at thin air is giving me nightmares, like a lesson in vanity. Wonder who he could be traded for, or who would want him.
He deserved his 2020 Gold Glove, but when one looks at his defensive numbers for 2021's GG win, it makes me wonder if those Gold Glove Awards are handed out in a box of Cracker Jacks.

Get this miserable stat:
His Lifetime Batting Avg over 10 Seasons: .205

His top 5 Batting Average's in a year: .253/ .223/ .209/ .206/ .204/
Batting Avg for Gallo's other 5 years: .199 or Lower
Even Gary Sanchez's B'Avgs were more respectable, (which is not a good word or descriptor to define Sanchez with a bat), Hopefully, this is the very last post you will ever see me mention Sanchito. I'm going to wipe my brain of any mention of Sanchez, even if it takes electro-shock therapy! :smiley-elektro:
:smiley-eek2:

Gallo has redefined the smoking line drive as a bloop hit, dropping 10 ft in front of the outfielder playing very shallow.
He actually put a little bit of wood on the ball, just a little.

The entire Angel's defense up the middle, from Trout to the second baseman and the shortstop, were caught sleeping, as Gonzalez stretches a bloop single into a double easily. Nice hustle by Marwin Gonzalez, the type of play common to Little League that one rarely if ever sees in the MLB, simply called hustle!

That's ball four to Judge as the strike below the knees is called again.

Boone got tossed awhile back for pointing out to the HP Ump that Judge's knees are a couple of inches higher than most players.

...gotta be frustrating as hell for Judge to be constantly wronged at the plate.

Unfortunately, they let Taillon down tonight by doing nothing at the plate.
