I liked Gardner's center field throw and the brush tag at the plate which went under review. In the old days, that was a score.

Yup...while that fly ball was in the air I enjoyed watching Gardner staying well behind the spot where the ball would eventually be caught and then at just the right moment he ran forward, caught the ball with his full momentum going toward home plate which gave his throw a bit more velocity, and ultimately made the difference in turning a go-ahead run by the A's into a double play for the good guys.

That was the key play as the one run difference was centered in Defense.
 
imagine if he only had a rifle for an arm, still a good play, hell a great play by both Brett and Gary...

on 2nd thought, if Gardner did have a rifle arm, the runner probably never would of ran, and the outcome of the game might have been different....

IMG_2762.JPG At this point I need to install the freshly painted landing trim and tighten the miter gap on the closet top corner. Since the finish panel is 1/4" in width I had to cut the trim boards the same on the edge facing the piece.
