Well if they drop this one they will be 12-15 in their last 27 games. I know Toronto has been on an unreal run but the Yankees are collapsing. Plus, Toronto has scored 89 more runs and have allowed 22 less. It's hard for me to believe that even with the head to head games remaining they're going to be able to beat out Toronto for this division when you just look at the numbers.

...if they don't get their act together, they can forget the W/C too.

Gardner as of his 0-3 day is now batting .195 in August.

I'm shipping some firecrackers to Yankee Stadium....Be patient guys.

I'll try but frankly this team is an absolute bore to watch right now. They were lucky to win that 1-0 game in this series.

You pretty much knew the gig was done when the Yankees got their asses kicked by Cleveland. On the verge of losing this game and if they do they were lucky to have a game one gift to avoid the sweep. This team has showed a total lack of character in the month of August. I feel for Girardi who in his heart knows that that each time he puts a starter out there that by the 5th inning its over..

Plus, it's all happening at home. So much was made of the amount of home games left and it hasn't mattered.

At this point you can rely on 3 pitchers, Tanaka, eovaldi and severino. The hitting has ground to a halt. Gardner was also terrible the last part of last year also. Logical explanation is cannot last the whole season and needs more rest. Ells bury always seems to be hurt and can't be relied on. Like I said earlier one of he and gardner needs to be elsewhere next season. The bullpen outside of betances and miller are pretty much adding gas to the fire. I've forgotten about first already and am hoping we can hold on for a wildcard at this point. Why the hell isn't refsnyder up here? Didi as Rick pointed out went from shit to looking like he figured it out offensively back to being clueless at the plate again. Is their a worse bottom 3 of the order than young, didi and drew. If gardner was batting down there I'd have to include him also. Tex you can see already is going to be living with the calf the rest of the season. Should have dl'd him and let it heal. Now, if yesterdays running to first base on a roundball is any indicator tex is gonna look like "chester from gunsmoke" the rest of the season. Hate to see this happen to the yanks after the first 4 months were such an unexpected pleasure. Hoping things change quickly or cashman gets refsnyder and judge up here for a possible spark.

The roster needs a shakeup for sure. It's sad to bring it up again but this is a group that at the deadline the general manager felt didn't needed any help. Now 2 runs in 24 innings against Houston in this series.

I'll bet Bernie, Jeter, Posada, and Pettitte are laughing their asses off, New York Yankees ha, not in this century.

And only 14 hits COMBINED over the last 3 games.

Your assessment Vic is pretty much spot on.

...^^^

Amen,

Let's add one thing......

Were seeing our SP's only go 4-5 Innnings, then Out, ...... all I can say is: IF the Yanx make it to PS, what are we going to see, the Bullpen converted into Starters........at this rate, I agree with Jim Mora Sr......

WTF, at the start of the year, it looked like our SP's were going to contend, yet there were probs, w/our SP's & RP's, that still have not been addressed, other than calling up Severino.......

The lack of length from the starters not only over works your pen but it completely overuses and overexposes your middle relief guys. Even Michael Kay kept saying it in regards to the starters just not giving any length.

Well Didi hits a two run homer to at the very least not make it completely sickening.

I can't take this shit much more, not without a stiff drink, excuse me gentlemen/ladies, its time to chase the Wild Turkey, and its barely noon........

WTF is wrong with Kay, a 2 run HR by Didi, and Kay thinks this is the onslaught of a new found push, .......wake the fk up Kay, this will be probably the last runs your going to see today.......you sloppy fk......!

:bgrin: LMAO........good one Vic...!

does that mean when I excuse myself to go hurl, over this game, I should hold some back....... maybe for latter???? I do believe in Miracles, just not with this team........luck is more the case, than miracles, with the 015 Yanx........

Now this is funny, Ryan pinch hitting for Drew. That's like boy George pinch hitting for Richard Simmons.

Gardner what the hell are you looking at? Another wonderful 0-4 day.

I just called Girardi... He got them and stuck one up Doo Doo's ass.

Excuse me Madame, that'd be Sir Didi.......:bgrin::biglaugh:to use commoners.....

glad you decided to stick around Lillie, its nice to have you aboard, and hopefully become a regular, but then if you hang out with us mad men, you might be infected, and have to see a Sports Shrink weekly, just to knock the piss out of a punching bag, to vent your frustrations......

I tried it, and it works.....:comppunch:

just don't let this Team do to ya' what its done to many fine folks, ie, "lead ya' to drinking"........:drinkapint:

Why can't beer companies, make an AM Ale, or Morning Lager.........?

Oh my, Boy George, and Richard Simmons, all in one breathe, and no love for Elton John......???

I do a good job in that department already. lol

Maybe the courier with A-holes stuff can meet him in Atlanta tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kay just gave the stat that in the last 20 games the Yankees are hitting .201 against the last 20 starters they have faced. Those starters have an ERA of just over 2.50 in the 20 games.
ESPN posted that on their am broadcast today also. This is a complete lineup going cold together.

Bird just missed making it very interesting. That being said it's just another out. I like the kid but this is an example of why you can't go overboard on a 22 year old and automatically make him a fixture out there. You have to deal with the growing pains.

It's really hard to believe but this is also a lineup that has relied very heavily on the long ball all season. They're simply not good at situational hitting. If the long ball isn't there they struggle.
