Thanks again Lil I'been a little off kilter lately.

GO YANKEES!!!

Just saw a blurb on ESPN stating A-rodham is benched for the entire Astros Series!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Couldn't be happier about a-rodham( I like this name )...........it's a good game in Houston.

Good to see you, Rick.

Might of been a good idea to have Castro try to bunt Beltran to third in that spot. Three clueless strikeouts.

Beltran's lead off double completely wasted. Castro, Tex and Didi just completely clueless up there.

Thinking the same thing myself, runs are hard to come by this evening!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Romine of all people gives the Yankees the lead.

Ellsbury strands runner on 3rd with one out.
WTF has happened to this guy? Now batting below.260....jeez, he's turned into Brett Gardner with a big contract.
Ellsbury when healthy, and he is, Ellsbury would be one of the last guys on this team I would worry about. Always has been a fine all around player AND good hitter career w/risp.
Is he "alright"?

Ellsbury was a career .297 hitter, .350 OBP, terrific CF averaging 34 SB per season before signing with Yanks.
Shit!

Note to Pineda: nice game, you have earned for yourself a Jimmy Buffett "Cheeseburger in Paradise" all the way washed down with a cold brew of your choice,

Castro has been a bit of a problem turning the DP.
Either erratic relays to first or bad footwork around the bag.
He is still kinda learning the position....and and Yanks WIN....Castro gets a second chance and does manage to complete this DP.
Yanks win.
Can this freekin team put together a modest 5-6 game win streak for crissakes......just about "all" teams do it during July (or August)..lol

They're managing to pull us back in again. A good chance to win another important series and then finishing the month against a bad Tampa team.

Lone Ranger here.....I'd give him a few starts here and there and see if he can run into a couple of pitches....this fukn team needs some long balls, dead last in SLG% A.L.
They aren't going to continue getting this excellent SP of late.

At this point he's only going to get a shot when they give Beltran a day off. I don't think they want Beltran in RF right now. Otherwise even with this struggles you would rather have Arod in the lineup over Hicks.

I'm still debating on whether to buy the Kool-Aide yet.

Unless there's some offensive help or others heat up there's likely not reason to buy into it again. This lineup is downright awful.

Hicks does improve the D in RF and Beltran imo has very limited range out there.....too bad Hicks just isn't doing it with the stick.
This guy made excellent strides last year offensively getting his most ABs 352 to that point in a single season and maybe perhaps just maybe he can begin to show some life if they play him more as Beltran DHs.

I know Cashman isn't adored lmao, but I'm with him on Hicks, kinda annoyed, disappointed and a bit surprised he's been a ".200 hitter".

Lol, not saying he was going to turn the corner and become an Allstar but shit, a .200 hitter?

I hear you Vic, I know they faced a good pitcher, but these Idiots refuse to work the pitch count day in and day out. Pathetic.

...Hicks' defense is not worth the trade off for his offensive suckage.

So either they bench him and play Beltran in RF, release him, (or send HIM down?) and then call up one of their AAA outfielders three of which have been doing well down there.
I've no problem with any of the latter choices.

I'm all for releasing him, give one of the kids a shot when Beltran is DHing
