Houston is a bad opponent for this team. Better starting pitching and overall a better lineup. The bullpen advantage doesn't mean much here. Also, this is the second time in three years Houston went out and got another starter for the playoffs. The Nats did as well. The Yankees stayed put.

Houston's defense is also better...and the Yanx have missed out on landing Gerritt Cole TWICE. They drafted him but could sign him and they could also have landed him last year but Cashman refused to give up Miguel Andujar and offered Clint Frazier as the main trade chip instead.

...DiDi got under that ball quite a bit and it was in the air a long time. The Cards lost because they simply were not hitting and it's not like others aren't hitting HRs...just sayin'.

And it's not like the Yanx have not had their chances to score runs without having to rely on the HR ball to get things done.
