Will Biggie’s pitches be too fat to ignore? or Is C.C. able to eye Sanchez’ signs?

Not sure this will matter one iota, whatever an iota is???
 
If this is a preview of the ALCS, I'd say better bail and/or find some solid pitching, unless this is a maturing year, and last year was a fluke....?

a work in process that's for sure...unless Trashman has no clue what Pitching looks like....I hope at least Trashman was paying attention to Viagra Verlander's lesson...

This is getting to be like Bill Murray in Groundhog Day, but like the movie, it's an adventure...

I've never forgiven the Warriors, not since they took an airplane I was waiting to board away from us, in S-Fran, what an effing nightmare.. If it were the Lakers no problem. That was back in the 70's. Tho' God Bless Stephan Curry, I admire his demeanor and play more than LeBron's. I've never drank the LeBron Kool-Aid.

...some pitchers the Yanx can get away with swinging for the fences but with someone like Verlander they simply have to take a different approach...against RHed batters Verlander lives on the outer part of the plate with breaking balls and the Yanx hitter can't lay off of them and when he does throw a FB it's usually elevated and very hard to catch up with.
...RHed batters need to go to the plate with the mindset of "I'm gonna take that outside pitch to RF"...instead of stubbornly trying to pull that pitch for a 5 run HR with nobody on base.

That's a four start ERA of 0.59. Just sickening.
 
^^^Yeah...I looked at the some of the pitch charts earlier and the number of pitches out of the strike zone that Yankee hitters swung at was ridiculous.
 
Seem's every year is one in which somethings often off in MLB. A few yrs ago, (less Sanchez) seemed like it was July before Catchers could throw to 2nd and catch a basestealer, often errant throws into CF.

Then we had yrs following, sheer insanity watching MLB players tending to Little Lg rules, i.e. the Posey and Utley rules...

This years constant: proof calling balls and strikes would, could be best served by a Computerized system in lieu of cross eyed flawed HP-Umps; which MLB and it's humans will fk up one way or another, IF that time ever comes to pass...
 
Sometimes stats just don't paint a clear picture:
  • Yankees relievers lead the Majors with 244K and a 12.09 K/9.0IP ratio (181.2IP)...
  • are on pace to record 775K, which would be the most strikeouts by a bullpen in MLB history (Houston, 662K in 2017)...their 12.09K/9.0IP ratio would also be the best single-season mark all time...rank
  • third with 3.34 K/BB (73BB) this season.
  • Have led the Majors in K/9.0IP ratio out of the bullpen ineach of the last four seasons: 2014 (10.25), 2015 (10.11),2016 (10.15) and 2017 (MLB-record 10.92).
 
  • Yankees dropped their series opener vs. Houston, 5-1, on Monday...matched their season low with 1R (fourth time, two against Houston)...
  • Yankees batters did not record a walk for the second time this season (also 5/1 at Houston, also started by Justin Verlander)...were held hitless with runners in scoring position (0-for-4) for the third straightgame (0-for-3 on Saturday, 0-for-8 on Sunday.
following this homestand, will begin an 11-game, four-city road trip, which will include-
  • 4G in Baltimore from Thurs.-Sun.,

  • Through 29 home games, the Yankees lead the AL in total home attendance (1,190,090) and average attendance per home game (41,038), trailing the Dodgers in both categories for tops in the Majors (28G - 1,286,654 / 45,952).
  • Have seven home sellouts through 29G at Yankee Stadium this season...did not reach seven home sellouts in 2017 until 7/3 (their 38th home game) and had only two going into June...finished the year with 13 sellouts at Yankee Stadium, their most in a season since 2014 (16)...had eight home sellouts in 2016 and nine in 2015
