Good article Matt!! As much as it says their accuracy has been cleaned up still seems like a long way to go for these guys.
And kay asleep at the switch as usual"Bird called off torreyes". who was last seen in triple A. BWAHAHAHAAHAHAHAH
Note to Smoltz: even as good an offense as the Yankees may have, without improved pitching we won't see them in the playoff.
They just said that the Astros have averaged striking out over 11 Yankees per game over the last 2 years.
Could not agree more. Cashman is deluding Yankee fans with the hype of the Yankee lineup & with his
inability to develop pitching in the system. What any knowledgeable Yankee fan should understand (1) good
pitching will shut down any good hitting ball club, & (2) good pitching wins ball games.
When it comes to playoff baseball, good pitching wins out over average pitching teams. And yes, the Yankees
have an average pitching staff. If there are no improvements with Yankee pitching, they may not make the
playoffs this year.
If Boone had any balls he'd set Torres on the bench for a game or 2, maybe DH Him for a couple games, imho...
