Severino vs. Happ

Lineups to follow...

Sevey is the chief doer on the staff, when he pitches wins are expected. No names mentioned but other starters on that staff need to follow Seveys example. Hope the offense show up for todays game. What about it manger Boone?

Clint Frazier will join The Yankees today against The Blue Jays taking David Hale's Roster Spot.

Gardner -LF
Judge -RF
Stanton -DH
Hicks -CF
Andujar -3B
Gregorious -SS
Drury -2B
Higashioka -C
Bird -1B

The bottom third of that lineup unless Dame Fortune intercedes is a sink hole. Manager Boone has Judge and Stanton back to back. Line from an old Freddie Cannon tune goes "you ought to see him fan the air". A good performance from Sevey is always worth watching.

I'd love to see Trashman leave Sonny Gray behind in Toronto & take on Happ. A move that makes sense, which means Trashman will not make that move. I love the idea of a rental like Happ; if he doesn"t pan out, or make it Happ-en, he can hit the FA market. Not 2 keen on signing a 36 yr old.
Happ was rocked for for 7 Earned Runs over 5.2 IP vs Detroit. This is Severino's game to win or lose; & s/b a slam dunk- s/b...

May Red Thunder blow the roof off of the Skydome. First Boone has 2 get Trashman's permission 2 insert him in the lineup...

You'd figure Happ is on an audition today, better the Yankees win the game than Happ passing audition. Two on & Drury hits a double, damn moving traffic. Good show Garner & Judge

Happ tells Sonny Gray “hold my beer and watch me pitch worse than you.”

I’m not a fan of Happ coming here as Boston has a good book on him. This game will hopefully make Cashman realize he isn’t worth any high prospects if he does come here.

Pisses one off, 4 run lead, bases loaded, one out, and a total lack of "killer instinct" to put the game out of reach early.

Pillar with a HR come on Severino get your Shit together.

Pillar is a pretty good player so that can happen. Yankees need to quit failing when offensive opportunity arises.

So much for Happ's audition, scratch him off the short list-
next...

So much for Cole Hamel 0.2 IP, 7 Runs, 3 Earned, 2 BB'z, 2 K's, 1 HR...

Let’s be serious, if Tanaka can come back healthy then we need just one more solid pitcher to go with Tanaka, Seve, and CC for the playoffs. I am beyond pissed off that this franchise REFUSES to give any of the young guys a call up but instead called up Cesspool again for the double header on Monday. It would be nice to know what we have down there and maybe we can trade for a #3 pitcher instead of an ace type of pitcher. It’s laughable that management continues to trot out Sonny Garbage and Cesspool to start games when we have possibly good young pitchers in the minors that are NEVER given a chance. Is it plausible that maybe Adams isn’t doing great right now in the minors because he sees how this franchise is more than willing to throw garbage pitchers out there and never give him a chance so he’s trying to be traded away? I don’t know, but it’s ridiculous that the kid still hasn’t been given a shot yet Cesspool keeps getting called up and German and Lasagna and of course the great failure Gray.
