Just watched video of a Yankees/Jays rumble at Yankee Stadium back in '98. O'Neil, Brosius, Strawberry and Company vs Clemens and the Jays. Torre came out fighting for his team Pretty spunk group that '98 team. Saw clips of the reunion, to include Baldy Locks twit Cashman running around like he was the master planer of that group. Saw Jeters video, misses Brosius. Joe Giradi allegedly received an invitation but did not attend. Speculation that Girardi was peeved about being let go. No Shit can't blame him the man got a dirty deal. It was good to hear O'Neil and Cone pass on praises for Girardis contributions to that team. Then Cone smooches Cashmans can from the boot talking about what a great GM he (Cashman is). Torre & Pettite in the Broadcast Booth were nice additions.. Continued success to Happ, hope the Yankees can get a good clean win without someone pissing in the fountain today.

My personal opinion is that Boone is conceding the division and trying to rest players already so they are fresh for the final push into the playoffs and the playoffs. Would be helpful to not always need to burn through 3-4 bullpen guys a day too.

Imo baBoones amateur mentality is what Trashman wanted in letting Joe go.
His lineups make no sense half of the time. He has no clue how to use a bullpen &/or know when to pull a pitcher.

He didn't utilize "small ball" until recently (wonder who called him out on that one).

He has no Leadership skills & the team knows it.

Exactly what Trashman wanted; a puppet Mgr who knows as little as himself.
Boone cannot safely navigate a self driving car...
 
I see a couple of our competitors playing games of interest. Mariners and Dodgers both slightly dropping in their divisions Kershaw is on the hill. Oakland rising faces Houston falling, Verlander on the hill. . Yep the day will be more interesting by it's end.
 
Happ had a hiccup just as I was ready to post a compliment. As it stands though he's done pretty well. Rothchild got to figure out how to get his starters going longer in games.

Yankees are just doing what winners are supposed to do.....they are tacking on runs. Good guys up 10-2.
 
Robinson excepted thus far it's an everybody hits day today kicking butt on a non-contender.

Toe, 3-3 today, always liked that kid myself, a real spark plug. I heard that a lot of team members were not happy when Toe got sent down. Damn who made that decision.
 
Watching Sonny Gray out on the mound, I ‘m glad I do not get to see him every 5th day! Actually,
The Douche just can’t let go of this terrible acquisition.
 
Game ends on line drive to Gleyber at SS. 10-2 is the final.
 
Hoping Didi’s heel injury is not serious.
 
You can always count on Sonny to turn a game Gray when he's called to action in Yankees Stadium. With a fucking 10-2 lead he should be pitching much better against the opposing team.
 
Looks like Didi will be going on the DL (this sucks). More test upcoming tomorrow.
